5603
So the fans decide to celebrate 05/06 (Goro's day) with a Sekai Hana buying campaign. And the weekly Oricon sales turn out to be exactly 5603. Goro-san XD As expected from Goro.
That reminds me of that time when Goro was in hiatus in 2001 and Kimura guested on iitomo and got 56 on the audience vote for a question. Goro is magic.

And as a bonus, we got the Goro kiss scene on the same day.

Sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana
My view of this song has totally changed.
Of course, it's smap's biggest hit and their flag song, and it has its own strong message. It had also its own history as the theme for anti-war movement in Japan, in the context back then. I always liked it but I wouldn't remember to name it within my most favourite smap songs because it was there, obviously there, always performed and high ranked in every ranking. But, unlike other songs, it never had any strong memory or meaning attached to it for me.
For example, Arigatou is the song for Tsuyoshi's return, for Ganbarimasu 2012 after Nakai's touching message, the one they sang for Tamori on Iitomo's final, the one where Nakai disappears on 27hrtv non stop live, etc.
Other songs also have strong memories and meanings attached to them: Best Friend, Original Smile, Ganbarimashou, Douka Todokimasu You ni, etc.  Sekai hana didn't have such a thing for me.
But this year gave it a whole new dimension. It became the song symbolizing the smap spirit, the fans' unity and fight. And I also realized fully for the first time how much it meant in the group's existence. When they performed it on Ashita e concert this year, it was a totally different song for me.

SmapxSmap
- I love when smap interact with athletes or sports men/women. Most of them aren't used to TV and don't act according to a defined screen image like regular talents and entertainment people, and that makes things more fun especially that smap are so good at showing the most interesting and funniest sides of their guests. Moreover, they generally are people who love challenge and competition and they stimulate the "hate-to-lose" side in smap. In the end, "Smap no S wa Sports no S" :D
- AND, there was that epic satasma moment. Shingo looked like he was holding a cat. I loved how he was bullying Nakai but at the same time hiding behind him. And Kimura joining in with Onegaishimasu. Onegaishimasu." What's with Kimura providing the audio for Nakai bullying lately ? It was the same with "Fuke!".
Well the agency asked TV not to show 2TOP getting along but they said nothing about audio, right?
- "SMAP ni wa kawari ga inai no"
-The performance with Ariana Grande was so cool. I still have Be Alright playing in my head, along with every song that has "will be alright", like kat-tun's Will Be Alright and smap's Daijoubu

Writing to remember
Since I created this journal and until last year, I used to update very rarely. But this year I think I'm posting at least once a week. Maybe because there are things that I want to note down in order not to forget them in the future.
I'm waiting for the day when we will all laugh and joke together about this additional multiple-of-5-anniversary-big-crisis. But when that time comes, I want to remember all the important good and bad moments, and all the people who supported smap.

Mainichi Shinbun and their sports titles
Tsurube, 99's Okamura, Downtown's Matsumoto, Ota Hikari and their strong support.
Jinnai and Yamasato doing their best to reassure the fans by telling us about the fun times in Hawaii
Haruna crying for Nakai
Yamamoto Kouji and Mizuki Arisa coming on Ojamap with nothing to promote, just for Shingo.
Taichi, Gussan, Kinki and their honest, deep comments
Kanjani voicing out their love and respect for smap in their lives and on TV
Tower records celebrating Goro's day with all their might
TV Guide putting their all into celebrating SxS 20th anniversary
SMAPxSMAP staff and their fight to protect the show.
The SMAP fans' strength, how they're facing every negative rumour with jokes, how they're fighting with positivity and love, how they're able to look past their own problems and support the people who needed support, how they're applying all what they learned from smap themselves.

I'll keep writing to remember all these things.

I think I'm getting more and more emotional whenever I write here. And I'm totally getting too smap-focused (sorry Kinki, TOKIO and Kanjani), but I guess that can't be helped.
