Drama
I don't know why I had a sudden urge to rewatch Ando LLoyd but I did it. I just love that drama.
And then I (finally) watched Good Luck. I don't know why I haven't watched it before.
The ShinkaixKoda dynamics in the drama are very interesting. I loved Kuroki Hitomi's character too. And then there's the KimuraxShibasaki dynamics that I always love. I mean, KimuraxMatsu Takako is a great pairing and fandom's absolute favourite, they're also adrable together in real life, but my personal favourite drama pairing is KimuraxShibasaki Kou, they just look beautiful together on screen.
I also ended up marathoning Nankyoku Tairiku. I've kind of avoided it until now because, even though I know every single japanese drama would make me cry, sad stories with animals are still too much for me. I think the only jdrama with animals I ever watched was Dots' Rosinante and I still haven't forgotten the trauma.
But somehow I ended up watching Nankyoku Tairiku anyway because I felt it was too good to miss for such a reason. I think I don't need to talk about the quality of the script, acting, directing, music, image, etc. Looking up the credits, I wasn't surprised to find that the director was the same who made Suna no Utsuwa and Karei Naru Ichizoku. That epic touch in his style was too recognizable.
But...the dogs...I never thought they could be so expressive in their acting. Especially in that scene where Rikki tries to jump into the water to save the drifting Furen no Kuma, and Kuma is like "Don't. You should stay alive. I entrust Tarou and Jirou to you,, please take care of them". It's impressive that you can read that dialogue just from the dogs' expressions.
I'm still in the mood of marathoning old drama. I'm curious about Ninkyou Helper. Maybe I'll try it next.
For this season, I'm surprisingly still watching Fukigen Na Kajitsu. "Surprisingly" because it's not my type of drama at all and I wouldn't have even checked it if it wasn't for Goro. I still can't take it seriously, but I'm actually enjoying it. I love the comedy touch in it, and Creepy!Goro/Iracchi. I find Kumi's character rather interesting too.
/I still think Goro is the hottest male in that drama
Making of SmapxSmap that-cat-show-with-Goro
One day in Fuji TV
Julie:You shouldn't let Smap be shown in SmapxSmap. The show shouldn't be about them anymore.
SxS Staff (sarcastically): Let's make it about cats then
Julie: Good idea! Cats are cute! Everyone loves cats!
SxS Staff:...Okay
Julie: And don't forget to fill it with guests. Invite every cat owner in the entertainment industry. But you should add something to make it more interesting
Staff (sarcastically): We can add a "Nya" button to vote for the cutest cat.
Julie: You guys are geniuses!
Staff:............So who should be MCing?
Julie: How about Hey!Say!JUMP? They can dress as cats too!
Staff:...
Julie: Okay...Does anyone from smap own a cat?
Staff: Actually, Nakai is a cat
Julie:...
Staff: Well, if it's about cats, then the best MC would be Inagaki-san.
Julie: Whatever.
Staff: It would be interesting if we got Kimura-san to assist him. He's a dog lover, so...
(a bunch of yakuza guys suddenly appear and point their guns at the staff)
Julie: NO KIMURA
Staff:....Okay...We can get a comedian as a co-host.
(the yakuza guys disappear)
Julie: Whatever. Just do it. (leaves)
Staff: Let's do this cat show parody skit.
Disclaimer: No offense to the cats (including Goro), they were adorable
PS: I can't believe no one asked Goro about the names of his cats.
PS2: I can't imagine this show hosted by Nakai (see the mado cats vs dogs episode)
Emergency playlists
To survive the smapxsmap shortage last week, I made an emergency playlist called "SMAPositive to treat serious cases of gloomy moments. I included the songs that I listen to usually when I need some energy and encouragement:
SMAPositive
- Hajimari no uta
- SMAP no positive dance
- Daijoubu
- Cry for the smile
- Susume
- Going Over
- Mae ni
- Beatful Day
- Arigatou
- Original Smile
/Victor should release that album
I probably need a video emergency playlist too. Depending on experience, I think it will look like this:
- CDTVNew year live 2016
- Ashita e concert 2016 opening
- sxs 5nin tabi 2013 karaoke part
- smap 27hrtv 2014 non stop live
- that encore part from pop-up concert where they sing Original Smile a cappella from backstage
I need to work on this...
Momm
That show is strange. At first, I was upset because Utage ended, but I ended up liking Momm's relaxing living room atmosphere, with the guests cooking and doing random things. And then when it switched to a more Utage!-like format with the embarrassing performances, I loved it too. And then it changed to the consulting format and for a second I was like "wtf", but then I started loving it too because how can I NOT love listening to Nakai talking seriously about different life issues?
I'm usually very sensitive to changes in shows' formats. Why do I end up liking every format of that show?
Kinsma
This week's episode left a big impression on me, even though I couldn't understand a lot of parts of it because the language was too difficult for me.
The guy is a like a lawyer-version of Kuryuu Kouhei :D He doesn't give up and keeps studying the smallest details to search for the evidence. The show made me want to rewatch HERO.
But what left the biggest impression on me is that case of the woman who cut her own leg under the train to get the insurance money. I mean, I don't approve of insurance fraud, but, someone who does such a thing must be really desperate for that money. I had the strange thought that it almost makes her "deserve" to get it. She didn't hurt a different person but she paid with her own body.
I don't know what I would have done if I had to take the decision in a similar case. Even if I knew it wasn't an accident and she did it to get the money, would I expose her? or refuse to give her the money? Cutting your own leg is too real to be a fraud.
What would have Kuryuu done? I want to see a HERO episode based on this case.
I think Kuryuu would have chosen to expsoe the truth anyway. But Specialist's Takuma would have probably ignored the evidence and let the woman get the money. Probably.
On a side note, I'm always impressed with the quality of the re-enactment vtr's in Kinsma. The last one in this week's episode could be a drama on its own.
Things Nakai says 1
Nakai: For you, I'm a being above the clouds
Fans: *Cheers*
Guests: ???
/Why was I even watching a show about sports? Since when do I enjoy sports talk that much? Why are you brainwashing me, Nakai Masahiro?
Things Nakai says 2
Goro's left nipple is OK, the right one is NG
(Previously)
Kimura's right nipple is OK, the left one is NG
Things Nakai says 3
He asked Samuga listeners to write about the news of the first half of the year that left the biggest impression on them.
He certainly knows what he's talking about. What is he trying to do?
Smastation
Goro and Shingo always remind me of two kittens who love playing and fighting with each other all the time. They spend the day teasing and chasing each other, but suddenly they fall asleep cutely huddled together.
It's fun to notice how Shingo's tsukkomi and joke patterns are getting more and more similar to Nakai's with time :D
IT'S COOL
For some reason I got obsessed with this song lately. I've been listening to it on repeat for the last two weeks.
Looking forward to:
Tomorrow's SxS
Nakai no mado with models (Nakai's personal clothes...)
Nakai's Kami sense sp, well, it's going to be on sxs slot but the show was pretty much interesting last time
