Highlight 1: SMAP being anime otaku
The SxS anime songs' special was really fun. SMAP are not the best singers, but they can create a comfortable and "tanoshii" atmosphere with their audience and coworkers.
I was really moved when Kimura sang "We are !". Not only because I like One Piece but also because this particular song reminds me of very precious memories.
Highlight 2: Kinki being Kinki
This week's SDK was EPIC, with Koichi making the cutest marriage proposal ever (including panicking in the middle of the scene and turning toward Tsuyo to ask him about a one-word line :D), and Tsuyoshi proposing in engrish with a KimuTaku-level coolness !!!
These days I've been watching Sore Ike KinKi Daibouken/Daihousou. That show was hilarious :D. They made the poor boys do all sorts of ridiculous things, the Mame choreography topping all ! Their interactions were interesting too. They did a lot of fan service, but sometimes they had genuine reactions or involontary reflexes that showed how much they really care about each other. Some of the topics are interesting (even at my age) especially when they talked about japanese traditions or rare collections.
Highlight 3: KAT-TUN being awesome
I would have never expected Ueda, one of the Johnny's with the least acting experience, would do such a difficult role in a complex drama. The third episode of Runaway focused on his character and he was really good.
I knew Kame was a good actor (despite having shitty dramas), but he's totally surpassing all my expectations in Bem. I'm also starting to like An and her character, Bera (she was totally cute in the 6th episode).
I'm starting to have some hope for KAT-TUN no zettai manetakunaru TV. The boys are trying to save it with new corners and more collective activities. The show is starting to get more and more KAT-TUN ish. Do your best guys !
And of course, I'm totally fangirling over the new single. Birth is a good song. And Star Rider is totally redefining coolness.
Did I ever mention how much I Iove the mixture of Kouki's rock-ish voice and Ueda's soft voice ?
I should really stop. This post would never end if I started to list all the things I liked about KAT-TUN these days.
Good night.
