So, I watched Chain con DVD...
I was in a very bad mood yesterday because of...stuff, but then when I started watching the con, I forgot about everything else. It made me smile and laugh so much !
You could totally see how much KAT-TUN missed being on Tokyo Dome stage and how much they wanted to interact with their fans. I liked the random jokes they were throwing between the songs and sometimes in the middle of a song. It feels so good to see them being themselves again. It was one of those cons that you can't help but watch in one go, without blinking. And, as usual, their songs came to life and showed their full potential.
The solos were really awesome: Taguchi's dancing, Nakamaru's special effects, Koki's epicness, Kame's lights and flying (Zutto is one of my most favourite songs of the year). But the surprise came from Ueda, with the unexpected sexy choreography (it's the first time he includes a choreography in his solos afaik) and the awesome singing.
The MC was just hilarious, it's a pity they didn't include ALL the MCs. The ones I watched in fancams totally deserve to be recorded.
I also liked how they finally put the right emotion in the slow songs/ballads and how they placed them in the setlist. Yuuki no hana was a perfect song to end with. And the Encore was so fun !

Well, that makes me want to talk about Johnny's lives in general and what I like the most about them (other than the costumes).

Starting from:

KAT-TUN
Their lives were more or less the reason that kept me in this fandom. I could have moved on to some other fandom after I watched a few jdramas and CTKT episodes, without even bothering to check their "boy band music". But (fortunately) I happened to watch one of their lives and the result, I'm stuck with Johnny's for a long time.

What I like the most about KAT-TUN's lives is their special atmosphere, their stage charisma, and their interaction with the fans. They also put a lot of efforts in their solos to make them original and very different from each other. Watching their lives never fails to make me fall in love with them again.

SMAP
Their lives are just FUN. The definition of fun. Seeing them singing with all their hearts and doing their best to make the fans smile makes me always feel full of positive energy. I like how much thought and efforts are put in the decors, the stage, the interludes, how all the dancers, band and staff become a part of "SMAP". And even though they're not the best singers in the world, the members have that unique aura on stage that makes their cons always enjoyable.

KinKi:
In my head, a kinki con = beautiful performances + long MC. Their songs, performed live, are most of the time better than the recording. I even think the best performances I've seen of them were on fancams. And the MCs...well, it's a long story :D

TOKIO
Being a band, the focus in TOKIO's cons is naturally the music. But there are 3 other things I love about them:
- their smiles and the gentle feeling they radiate
- Leader looking cool and sexy
- when they get the audience to sing with them. TOKIO's fans make a very good chorus.

V6
I like the choreographies and the way they move on stage. They can create an enthralling show just with the six of them and the music. Their songs also gain from being performed on stage. I still have to watch more V6 cons though.

Kanjani 8
What I like the most in Kanjani's cons are the band parts. Their band songs are really good. Subaru has a lot of charisma as a main vocal. And everyone looks cooler than usual :D

This post ended up totally different from what I wanted it to be. But it doesn't really matter.
Here's some Kinki
