This was supposed to be a new year post, but I think it's too late to talk about year's end/new year stuff now :D, so let's talk about other random things.
Drama season:
I'm following only one drama this season: Zeni no sensou. I LOVE it. The plot is very interesting. It has a lot of dramatic scenes and that would have turned me off in a different drama, but here we get to see Kusanagi's awesome acting and his hotness multiplied by 10. I love Oshima Yuko in this drama too.
I want to check Ouroboros too but I think I won't have the time for now. Maybe I'll marathon it one of those days.
News:
For the last few days the biggest topic in J&A fandom was the Mary interview. It was shocking for me. It's known that there were always issues between J&A and Michi/SMAP but I never thought one of the Kitagawas would insult them openly in front of tabloids. There was a lot of WTF things in Mary's talk to the point of sounding incoherent. But it got me very worried for SMAP and for the future of J&A. Well, until I saw SMAP again monday and felt kind of stupid for being worried for them (still worried for J&A though).
But some of the things she said are still bugging me, in particular what she said about J-Dream and that Johnny should leave it. What does that mean?
Miracles:
The SxS basketball challenge came in a perfect timing: There's no better reply to Mary's words than showing SMAP in their miracle-making mode :D That aura when they made their entry, Kimura's charisma in its highest level, the members trusting their ability to accomplish the craziest challenges and trying their best until the last second and even after the time limit (because we know they wouldn't have been able to go home if they didn't accomplish the challenge). And then there's that 2TOP moment. I loved when the younger three and the audience were totally speechless while 2TOP didn't stop a moment and continued their angle checking. Seriously, why would you be worried about a group led and protected by those two?
But there was another moment that marked me, when kimura said "Ikouze Crazy Five!". I was surprised because it's unusual from him, but it suddenly occured to me that "Crazy Five" was the name Nakai gave to SMAP in his lyrics. Hmmm...
New single:
I'm totally in love with Yumoa since the new year CDTV performance and the sxs performance. Can't tell which of the covers is my favourite, the "you try to mess up with us and you are over" type or the "come and get crazy with us" type. Can't wait for the PVs.
NASA:
Tomorrow the NASA is going to launch a satellite called SMAP into space. I was following its news both involontarily (because it popped up in my search results all the time) and volontarily (because it's somehow related to my line of work). It was funny how the japanese wide shows reported it with a pic of smap in space lol. But today it's also popping out in my local news feeds because the project's chief happens to be from my country :D Good luck, SMAP :P
