New toy

Welcome to my new laptop! It arrived this morning and is all new and fresh... and red! I went for the Dell Studio 15 in the end, with a bit of an upgrade on the processor. I know Dell isn't everyone's favourite, but in terms of bang for buck, it came out very well on the offer. I did get the free colour case upgrade (RED!) but I wasn't shallow

I've always been the caring, sharing type. Then work gave me a Fisher Price laptop and the pain of it drove me to cough up for my own.

if you do photos check out Windows Live Photo Gallery; the installer will try and foist a metric shedload of crap onto you but Photo Gallery is a very nice and surprisingly powerful library/editor for the basics

I love a little utility called ClipMate that keeps a record of what you copy and paste so you can go back and re-use it

a backup service like Carbonite or Mozy (I can give you a code that gets you extra free space on the free Mozy service)
