I never thought I'd write this pairing, either! But I'm glad I did. The thoughts and motivations of uptight housewives are always potentially interesting, I think.

Wow! When I read the prompt I had no idea I was going to love this fill as much as I did; but it's a beautiful character study, even in a small amount of words you manage to tell a convincing story that really pulled heartstrings. Suddenly, all she could see was how he blocked out the light. She couldn't see past him. Love that image!
So when Vernon sneered, when he shoved Harry into the cupboard suggesting that it was the right size for a baby, 'and his crying won't wake us up at night,' she agreed and shut the door. Poor Harry! The full extent of the Dursley's cruelty perfectly described in one powerful image.
