I watched the first season of Upstairs, Downstairs.

I think it's better than Downton Abbey: it's far less melodramatic and, as it is set in London, feels like history has more of an impact on the characters (it may have something to do with the different time period). I didn't like that either, especially how they kept using a new synonym for overweight every time they brought up that character. It wasn't totally out of line for how Sherlock likes to embellish when he talks, but I also don't think they would have come up with 10 different ways to say a suspect was really tall or really short.

The only other overweight character I can remember at all had diabetes and backed out of blowing the whistle on his evil company.
