Obviously, these are MY opinions.
My top ten favorite anime openings.
Number 10-Yu Yu Hakusho intro, Funimation actually dubbed the song, and I must say, did a great job dubbing the song!
Number 9-Magic Knight Rayearth Opening 3 by far, the most BEAUTIFUL OPENING of Magic Knight Rayearth (very under-rated series-if you love Clamp, or you love Chobits, Card Captor Sakura, Tsubasa? All of the above, you will LOVE Magic Knight Rayearth) Also, watch the link starting at 5:58, that's when the 3rd intro starts on the video link. (I couldn't find the opening by itself, or at least a good quality vid-so I had to settle for this vid.)
Number 8-InuYasha Opening 3-by far the best InuYasha opening.....EVAAAAAAAAAAR!!!! 8D
Number 7-Naruto-GO! Fighting Dreamers, the COOLEST Naruto intro, imo. I also put it in a tie with Shaman King-Oversoul the music for this opening is so catchy, and just beautiful!
Number 6-The first Code Geass Opening-Colors, along with FMA (the original anime) 2nd opening are tied. I really love both of these openings!!! And yes I tie it with Shaman King Northern Lights (I just couldn't decide between these 3, I love them all equally)
Number 5-Lucky Star Opening you all know the one....the one that you CAN'T RESIST NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY!!!! It's like a drug!
Number 4-FMA Brotherhood-Yui talk about OMG!!!!! O_O this opening has beautiful music, beautiful animation, and ALL-AROUND EPICNESS!!!! O_O It's FMA in a nutshell!
Number 3-Bleach D-tecnolife, OH MY HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!! When I first saw that opening my jaw dropped, I knew, I was in for sure epicness coming ahead (aka the SS arc 8D) and Code Geass R2 Opening the visuals, the animation, the timing, GAH! CODE GEASS YOU DID IT AGAIN!!! YOU GOT ME HOOKED!!! (I couldn't decide between these either)
Number 2-One Piece:Hikari E/Toward the Light Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the japanese opening. But this english version has a special place in my heart....it symbolized the dawning of a new era....one where One Piece would be dubbed properly! One where it would be treated the way it should of been WHEN IT FIRST CAME TO THE STATES!!! D< (I'm looking at YOU 4kids!) To me, it just PROVED HOW AWESOME Funimation was!....I mean for years I had to deal with 4kids trampling on One Piece with their crap.
No seriously, I didn't get the memo that 4kids was dropping the license....And Funimation was picking it up.
So take it from my perspective, dealing with years of THIS!!!!--fastforward to-----> hearing Vic Mignognia dubbing THE ACTUAL SONG WITH THE ACTUAL OPENING MUSIC WITH THE ACTUAL OPENING ITSELF!!!!! I nearly died right then and there thinking, "Where am I? What is going on? No rap? OMG! VIC MIGNOGNIA'S SINGING THIS OPENING?! WAIT A MINUTE!!! 8DDDD THANK YOU GOD IN HEAVEN!!!! MY PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED!!! NO MORE 4CRAP-RAP!!!!" So yes, I love the english version more than the japanese soley because of this reason-it was a sign of salvation finally coming to One Piece after the pathetic-poor job of 4kids.
Number 1-One Piece-Share the World, now I love ALL One piece openings! 8D (cept this one XP ew) they all are great each in their own way. My favors tend to be Hikari E, We Are, We Are Remix, Brand New World, and Kokoro no Chizu, because of the fun-adventure feel you got from them, you couldn't help but smile listening to the listed. But Share the World....hands down, BEST OPENING EVER!!! It literally encompassed EVERYTHING that IS One Piece. It had fun! It had Adventure! It had Smiles! It had Drama! It had Action! It had heart-string pullers! It had humor! It had friendship! It had the elements of hope and danger! IT HAD IT ALL!!!! Plus the band has a great sound, and the tuning was PERFECT!!! The timing-perfect! The animation, PERFECT!!!! OMG!!! I HAVE ONE PIECE FANGIRL-SPAZZEMS JUST BY WATCHING THIS OPENING!!!!
