Ok, onto character voice picks!!!!
First up....Patch Tribe! 5 key members....
Goldva(Patch's leader)- Julie Mayfield! This old lady voice-that was made famous for Doctorine aka Dr. Kureha from Funimation's One Piece Dub- would work perfectly for the elderly leader of the tribe! :D
Silva(everybody's fave!!! :D)-I just don't have it in me to change Dan Green-4kids pic for this guy! I CAN'T HELP IT! I LOVE DAN GREEN! He's talented! (He seriously needs to move away, and quit 4kids for good! He's too good for that crappy company! Viz or Funimation could use talent like his!!!) And darn you if you make me have to choose another different guy! (I don't want to choose another guy no no no-if I was forced to then maybe Chris Sabat or Travis Willingham...but NO! I want this guy to stay Dan Green!)
Kalim(A friend of Silva, key patch official member)-I see Jim Foronda, best known for Denny Bloch in FMA, and Clow in Tsubasa. I dunno, Kalim seemed like the nice guy-voice of reason character. And Jim's voice fits that! :D
Nichrom(turns traitor, ends up serving Hao)-Jerry Jewell yes yes yes! Best known for Kyo in Fruits Basket, Arai in Ouran, and Lig in Claymore. I'm telling you, this voice would fit Nichorm! MOST DEFINITELY!!!
Zinc(anime only character-turns traitor with Nichrom)-I easily see Troy Baker! Known for Gin in Case Closed, Frank Archer in FMA, and Ganryu from the first Bleach movie (and much more...he's famous!) He does villain voice really well, specially with Frank Archer-a guy who does the evulz because he can! Which is pretty much Magna! XD
Next up...won't go big into it, but the Lilly 5, they are kinda just a group of 5 girls....there annoying anime only characters-but become important allies to Yoh's gang....so....
Sharona(The Narcisit with a heartleader of the Estrogen Brigade-as I call them)-Jamie Marchi, best known for Motoko in Fruits Basket, and Haruna in Negima. Sharona is a drama queen...and Jamie can really ham it up!
Millie(The youngest member)-Cherami Leigh, best known for Elicia Hughes (FMA:Brotherhood), Road Kamelot (D.Gray-man), Setsuna and Akari (Negima), Miss Goldenweek (Funimation Dub One Piece), Kirimi Nekozawa (Ouran), and Himawari in xxxHolic. Most known for doing "little girl" characters...and Millie IS a little girl. Plus she's a perky one-something Cherami can do nicely!!! XD
Ellie(The arrogant ditz, always seen with little Millie)-Brittney Karbowski, Anya in Negima and Hinako in Ouran. Yeah she can take the drama queen in this girl too! XD
Sally(the tough red head)-Collen Clickenbeard...best known for Monkey D. Luffy (Funimation Dub One Piece), Riza Hawkeye & Rose Thomas (FMA), and Yuko Ichihara (Tsubasa and xxxHolic) She's a tough girl will kick your butt! PERFECT FOR YOU COLLEN!!! XD
Lilly(the smart-brainy nerd chick)-Gwendolyn Lau best known for Sheska in FMA, book worm girl...PERFECT!
Ok, now for the X-laws, well the 3 most important characters OF the X-laws....
Jeanne (Leader of the X-laws)- Carrie Savage known for Kurokano in Ouran and Kaya in Funimation One Piece dub. She has that young soft voice that would fit Jeanne, but unlike the 4kids chick for Jeanne, she'd FIT HER AGE! The other girl sounded WAY TOO OLD to be Jeanne.
Marco (2nd in command)-J. Michael Tatum Most famous for Kyoya in Ouran! Marco is a serious character...and the guy from 4kids overacted his role WAY TOO MUCH.
Lyserg (friend of Yoh's who left their gang to join the X-laws)-Unlike in the 4kids dub-Lyserg IS FROM ENGLAND! (why give him the american accent and the two chinese kids the british ones?!?!) Aaron Dismuke would fit the "angsty" ness of Lyserg, as well as his seriousness-and deep profound moments. Lyserg is a deep character. And Aaron CAN make a convincing british accent. Plus his voice has matured some so he'd fit nicely! Aaron is most famously known for Hiro in Fruits Basket, Alphonse in FMA, and recently Yasuchika in Ouran!
Hao and his servants....(the more important ones...not doing all of them D:)
Hao Asakura(the big bad himself! :D)-Hao is by far my favorite villain! And my number 1 fave anime dude! :D I am at least thankful 4kids got him an actor who can act-fit his character-sound his age-and actually managed to sound sexy! :D BUT....IF I was forced to give him a different VA, Eric Vale is the one for him! He did a few several villain characters in Yu Yu Hakusho (YYH), Trunks in DBZ, Yuki in Fruits Basket, Sanji in Funimation Dub One Piece, and the Crimson Alchemist in FMA. So he CAN do good evil roles! And his evil laugh IS pretty sexy! ;P He's very talented!
Opacho(the cute little girl, who always follows Hao wherever he goes)-Did I mention, 4kids changed Opacho...TO A BOY?!?! DX...anyways, Funimation would fix that, and the best choice for her I'd say is Brina Palencia! She's famous for Chopper in Funimation One Piece, Nina in FMA, and Shiro in Ouran. She's an adorable little girl, who is the MOST loyal follower of Hao's. And Brina is GREAT doing little kid voices...plus she sounds freaking cute doing it!
Luchist(former X-law, one of Hao's most loyal)-For him....easy! Kent Williams! Best known for...alot! XD like; Supreme Kai in DBZ, Hatori in Fruits Basket, Kuro in Funimation's One Piece, Kyoya's father in Ouran, Chu-the Ogre-AND the narrorator for Yu Yu Hakusho! I love this guy's voice! He's such a great actor! And I can EASILY see him as the serious Luchist!
Kanna (leader of the Hanagumi of Hao's followers)-Meridith McCoy best known for Andriod 18 (DBZ), Maria Ross (FMA) and Atsuko (YYH) She can be sexy, and kick your butt! YEP THAT'S KANNA! XD
Matilda (the orange-haired girl-Wtich themed outfit)-Monica Rial best known for Sakura in Tsubasa, Renge in Ouran, Kuina & Tashigi in Funimation's One Piece, and Lyra/Dante in FMA. This woman is a GREAT actress. I can easily see her being the young witch-themed Shaman of the Hanagumi.
Marion(the gothic lolita styled girl)-Michelle Ruff who is best known for Rukia Kuchiki in Bleach, Euphiemia in Code Geass, Princess Snow in MAR, and Yuki Nagato in Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Michelle is EPIC! I heart her to death! I think her role as Rukia and Yuki prove to me the most she can handle the indifferent "Mari-chan" of the Hanagumi.
The rest of his servants I don't care for....Funimation has good pics so they could find decent people for the rest.
The Asakura Family....
Yohmei Asakura(Yoh's Grandfather)- R. Bruce Elliot known for Feng Wang Reed in Tsubasa, Whitebeard in Funimation's One Piece, and Richard Moore in Case Closed. Yohmei's an old dude, and I love his old dude voice! XD
Kino Asakura(Yoh's Grandmother)- Linda Young best known for Freeza in DBZ, and my favorite-Genkai in Yu Yu Hakusho! Kino is an epic old woman-well so's Genkai! HECK YES IT FITS!!!
Keiko Asakura(Yoh's Mother)- Catlin Glass in a heartbeat! Best known for Winry in FMA, Haruhi in Ouran, and Princess Vivi in Funimation's One Piece. Keiko although she's not on screen alot-you can obviously tell is a sweet and caring mother. Catlin would freaking fit! XD
Mikihisa Asakura(Yoh's Father)-John Burgmeier most definitely! Most known for Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho and Shigure in Fruits Basket. His voice would TOTALLY go with their father, mostly because of his performance as Kurama! This guy has the perfect smart young guy voice...or more acurrately, "smart young mentor" voice. That or Sunny Strait, best known for Maes Hughes in FMA, Lupin in Lupin the III, and Usopp in Funimation Dub One Piece, and Krillin in DBZ. Mostly for his work as Maes Hughes, I think would also fit the "mentor/father" role provided by Mikihisa! I think Sunny would equally fit nicely.
Miscellaneous allies/characters....
Anna Kyoyama (Yoh's Fiancee, and I swear is the most BAMF chick ever!-look up the definition of She-Rambo in the dictionary and it will say "See also Anna Kyoyama" XD)- Now, 4kids gave Anna-an OK actress....for the most part she did alright...but she made Anna sound to bratty. Sure Anna is hardcore bossy and whatnot-but she's the BAMF kind...not the annoying Libby-kind. Plus she made Anna sound too young-for instances she sounded YOUNGER than Jeanne who's like 2-4 years younger than Anna (I don't know, I forget). I think for Anna I'd have to go with Luci Christian! No question! Best known for Nami in Funimation's One Piece, Hunny in Ouran, Asuna in Negima, Medusa in Soul Eater, and Lenalee Lee in D.Gray-man. She can do bossy girl well, I can see her doing serious nicely, she can do "young" character voices, and like Nami does with her crew, Anna SCARES PEOPLE! XD Luci all the way!!!
Tamao Tamamura(taken into the Asakura family under Mikihisa, was a potential bridal candidate for Yoh-"till Anna came along" XD, also has a one-sided crush on Yoh)-Laura Bailey definitely!!! Best known for Lust in FMA, Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket, Keiko Yukimura in Yu Yu Hakusho, Child Chichi in Dragonball, Child Trunks in DBZ, and Konis in Funimation's One Piece. Like with Orihime in my "If Funimation Dubbed Bleach" journal....LAURA BAILEY WOULD FIT THIS ROLE LIKE A GLOVE!!!! She can do the shy, nice girl very well! I can easily see her being the stuttering-blushing Tamao! NICELY!
Jun Tao (older sister of Ren Tao, Shaman Partner of Bai-long)- Unlike in the 4kids dub-which gave her and Ren British accents for reasons I can't even BEGIN to fathom other than that it's 4kids XP....I think I have just the right girl for Jun! Our Zombie-controlling Chinese Shaman! Kelly Sheridan, best known for Sango in InuYasha, Ukyo in Ranma 1/2, Harumi in Hikaru no Go, Shino in .hack//ROOTS, and Sal/Black Rose in Megaman NT Warrior. Her non-anime roles known for Scarlet Witch/Wanda in X-men Evolution, Will Vandom from W.I.T.C.H., several characters from Barbie movies, as well as voices for other little girls shows like My Little Pony-Bratz-PowerPuffGirls-and Sonic Underground. Mostly, her role as Sango, I find her best! The Characters Jun and Sango are about the same age. She has the sweet-soft spoken older sister voice (both characters are older sisters to a brother), but the determined-serious-action girl type of voice, plus many fanboys tell me they find Sango's English dub voice just as Sexy as Sango herself. (and many fanboys find Jun Tao pretty hot too). So-there's a plus there too!-well for the fanboys. XD
Pirika Usui(Horohoro's younger sister, who I find annoying as heck)-Kate Oxley I can see! (if not, Laura Bailey, or Monica Rial would fit good too) Best known for Mimi in D.Grayman, Makie Sasaki in Negima, Rika in Funimation's One Piece, Kimiko in Ouran, Koruri in Tsubasa, and Ame from xxxHolic. She can do cute girl voice well (not that I care, because I HATE PIRIKA) but I see her fitting this role.
Manta(an ordinary human who can see Ghosts-a midget-& best friends with Yoh Asakura)-Say what you will about this guy...but Spike Spencer is perfect for this job!!! He's best known for Ginta Toramizu in MAR, Hanataro in Bleach, Rolo in Code Geass, Goh in Pretear, Marth in Fire Emblem (anime not the game), and Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I know there are Spike Spencer haters out there...but I'm sorry, he's honestly not as bad as they make him out to be. Manta is the PERFECT role for him. He can do those awkward characters really well....plus the freak out ones. (the ones that tend to freak out over the littlest things). Manta is a paranoid, jumpy, awkward, dorky, easily freaked out-character. He screams alot, gets scared alot, and freaks out alot (whether frightened or getting mad yelling at another character). He's a jumpy little dude. Spike would fit little Manta perfectly. Roles like Ginta and Hanataro just prove it to me. And the awkward-timidness of his role as Rolo also still proves this to me.
Amidamaru(Yoh's Spirit Alley/Partner, a Samurai Ghost)-Marc Darison the original 4kids actor for Amidamaru I have to say is really talented. I wouldn't want to change him....not at ALL!!! BUT...if I was forced to change it....I think I'd go for Travis Willingham. Best known for Mori in Ouran, Portgas D. Ace in Funimation's One Piece, Darlton in Code Geass, Zetsu in Naruto, Love in Bleach, and MOST FAMOUSLY (lol) Roy Mustang from FMA. Amidamaru is a serious, loyal, strong, and stead-fast character. He follows Yoh without question, (like a real Samurai did with the Lord's they served under) and has a noble heart. Parts of that remind me of Mori from Ouran, and Ace from One Piece. (the fierce Loyal protectors). Plus his voice is the same pitch tone as the Japanese VA for Amidamaru! :D I can see Travis doing handsomely with this role!
Bai-long(Jun's Spirit Alley/Partner, he is a a animated zombie of a deasesed Kung-Fu/Action Movie Star)-Another great job done by Dan Green, I'd hate to replace him with anyone else, but if I HAD to choose someone to replace him for this role, Kyle Herbert is my first pick! :D Best known for Vato Falman in FMA, Teenage/Adult Gohan in DBZ and DBGT, Peta in MAR, Kiba in Naruto, the King of Alavasta in Funimation's One Piece, and Karasu in Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm mostly of fan of his work in FMA and DBZ. But I do enjoy his role as Kiba and Peta in Naruto and MAR. But his role as Teen/Adult Gohan is my favorite. I think it fits the Kung-Fu Zombie/Partner of Jun perfectly!
Tokegeru(Ryu's Spirit Alley/Partner, an ancient spirit who at first wanted revenge on Amidamaru, he's a human spirit that takes a lizard-like appearence)-Chuck Huber best known for Android 17 and Garlic Jr. in DBZ, Hiei in Yu Yu Hakusho, Shou Tucker in FMA, Mohji the Liontamer in Funimation's One Piece, Hiro in Shin-chan, and Reever in D.Gray-man. Tokegeru started off as a "Harden-Heart" type of character who didn't trust anyone and wanted revenge. But by meeting Yoh, his heart began to soften, and became a Spirit Alley for one of the main characters-Ryu. He's a cocky ghost-who likes to talk big. He's a bit of a hot-head, but a loyal partner. Chuck can do angry-vengeful characters well, just as well as goofy characters. He's also great at cocky, hot headed characters.
Mosuke (A weapon's smith in his life as a human, a ghost, best friends with Amidamaru-helps Yoh fix Amidamaru's "Harusame" sword)-Kirby Morrow I see! Best known for Miroku in InuYasha, Goku in the later episodes of DBZ Ocean Dub, Electman.EXE in Megaman NT Warrior, Hot Shot in Transformers Cybertron, Rad in Transformers Amarda and Transformers Energon, Teru in Death Note, and one of my favorite roles of his-a non-anime role, Scott Summers/Cyclops in X-men Evolution. Kirby I swear just has this all around-"Nice Guy" voice. When I hear his voice I think of a naturally friendly person, who'd you want to be friends with. So naturally, the nice, loyal, and good friend of Amidamaru-shouldn't he be voiced by somebody who's voice NATURALLY sounds like a nice friendly guy?!
Bason(Ren's Spirit Alley/Partner, a ghost of an powerful chinese warrior) -Chris Sabot very famous dude. Most known for Piccolo-Vegeta-Yamcha-and a BUTTLOAD of other voices in DBZ, Kurogane in Tsubasa, Ritsu Kasanoda in Ouran, Ayame Sohma in Fruits Basket, Alex Louis Armstrong in FMA, Daisuke in Lupin III, Kuwabara and Raizen in Yu Yu Hakusho, and Roronoa Zoro in Funimation's One Piece. Like Amidamaru, Bason is VERY loyal. He's a big strong guy. But a softie at heart. Like good ol' Chris Sabot. He'd do perfect for this Warrior Ghost!
Eliza(Faust's deceased wife, and his Spirit Alley/Partner)-Stephanie Young most certainly! Best known for Mana in Negima, Itoko in School Rumble, Oruha in Tsubasa, Clare in Claymore, and best of all Nico Robin in Funimation's One Piece. Eliza is a quiet adult woman. But she is very beautiful and very elegant. Something easily noticed for the few times she DOES talk. Mostly for her perfermance as Robin...I think Stephanie would fit this quiet beauty wonderfully!
And our other core characters! :D First up.....Team Ren!
Chocolove McDaniel(the African American Shaman, from New York, a joker-though his jokes aren't funny)- Phil LaMarr I can easily see being Chocolove. Now Phil isn't an anime voice actor. But he has done roles for Animation of African Americans characters. And unlike the 4kids actor, this guy doesn't have an annoying voice, and can act a heck alot better! Known for John Stewart in Justice League and JLU, Carver in The Weekenders, (my personal favorite) Virgil Hawkins aka Static in Static Shock, Osmosis Jones in the TV show Ozzy & Drix, Wilt in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, DJ and Chef on Total Drama Island, and Jazz in Transformers Animated. I personally feel Phil's role as Virgil/Static is one of his best-and it really fits the Chocolove Character! Chocolove is a jokester, fun-loving teen with an animated personality. As mentioned he LOVES to tell jokes (much to the dismay of the main cast) and wants to be a comedian. (though Ren, Horohoro, and Anna find his jokes very annoying (as does most of the main cast) but those three (mostly Ren and Horohoro) find it irritating the most-and will smack him around for it ^^;...) But he has a troubled past (he was once part of a gang) and wants to make amends from those violent days-by stopping violence in the world-by making everyone laugh and smile-with his shaman powers. He has alot in common with the characters Carter (from Weekenders) and Virgil/Static. (cept those guys have people laughing at their jokes XD) Both characters I love and adore. I think he'd(Phil LaMarr) do, Chocolove, one of my FAVORITE Shaman King characters some big justice! He'd be perfect for the role of the silly fun-loving comic relief with a heart of gold! :D
Horokeu "Horohoro" Usui (One of Yoh's first Shaman friends/allies, he's an Ainu, argues with and teases Ren alot)-For this guy, my favorite little Ice Shaman, I have him tied with 2 people. One is Todd Haberkorn, most famous for his roles as Kohza in Funimation's One Piece, Hikaru Hitachiin in Ouran, Watanuki in Tsubasa and xxxHolic, Death the Kid in Soul Eater, and Allen in D.Gray-man. My personal two favorite roles for this guy is Hikaru (Ouran) and Kohza (One Piece). I think Todd could nail the goofy and fun yet driven and determined character that is Horohoro. Horohoro a smart idiot. (contridicting for ya? XD) He also is easily irritable. (not as easily as Anna or like the hot-headed Ren). I think Todd would fit Horohoro like a glove. Plus he has a voice that sounds about the right age for Horohoro, (and did I mention he can act). The other I imagine for Horohoro perfectly is, the one, the only....Vic Mignogna!!!! Best known for Edward Elric in FMA, Tamaki in Ouran, Dark Mousey in D.N.Angel, Ikkaku in Bleach, Broly in the DBZ Movies, Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Sora in Air Gear, A handful of voices in Funimation's One Piece-as well as singing dubbed versions of 2 openings and 1 ending for it, Fai D. Flowright in Tsubasa, and most recently Zero in Vampire Knight. Now for obvious reasons, Vic will fit! Vic can do fun yet serious, implusive but determined, spirited yet short-fused characters really well. (heck he can do alot! The guy IS a talented voice actor!) So it's tied between those two.
Ren Tao(Heir to the Tao family legacy, enemy/rival-turned friend of Yoh's, leader of Team Ren)-For Ren, I also have a tie. First pic, Justin Cook. Best known for Hatsuharu "Haru" Sohma in Fruits Basket, Raditz-Teen Dende-and Super Buu in DBZ, Russel Tringham in FMA, Bellamy in Funimation's One Piece, and Yusuke Urameshi in Yu Yu Hakusho. More noteably in Hatsuharu-Justin is very easily capable of doing the very serious character to the hot-headed/short-fused character. Which pretty much is Ren Tao XD. My other pick would be Yuri Lowenthal, famous for voicing Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto (ewww...gag me! DX Sasuke sucks!!!), Suzaku Kururugi in Code Geass (another character I have a great distaste for!), Keigo in Bleach, Alviss in MAR (one of my favorite roles of his), Haru Glory in Rave Master, and Simon in Guren Lagann. Despite voicing two characters I dispise, Yuri is a pretty good voice actor, and can do the serious characters really well as well as the short-tempered ones. So again...a tie.
And finally TEAM FUNBARI OSEN!!!! :D
Faust VIII(A German native, a bit crazy-ok ALOT crazy, a former antagonist of Yoh's, and husband of Eliza)-Brandon Potter I think would do the job nicely. Best known for Sven in Black Cat, Kadomatsu in Ouran, Kenji in School Rumble, and Captain "Red-Hair" Shanks in Funimation's One Piece. What can I say, I LOVE his work as Shanks! I can't get enough of it! I love his voice! It's about the right age-range for Faust. I LOVE his laugh! (and loving every minute of imagining that laugh on Faust) And he's a great actor! :D What more is there to say?!
"Wooden Sword" Ryu (a former human-became a shaman after being possessed by Tokegeru, is a FRIECELY loyal friend to Yoh, and a womanizer XD)-Mike McFarland best known for Master Roshi and Yajirobe in DBZ, Ritsu Sohma in Fruits Basket, Jean Havoc in FMA, Captain Buggy "the Clown" in Funimation's One Piece, Ryoji "Ranka" Fujioka in Ouran, and Goemon in Lupin III. Ryu is another "comic relief" character. He's UBER loyal, but also a goofy character. He hits on every girl he sees, heck he hits on ANYTHING (and I mean anything) with a woman's face on it. (He thought Lyserg was a girl when they first met-but to his devestation-was a boy XD). And that seems PERFECT for Mike. I think he'd nail this role very well!
Yoh Asakura(the main character, Amidamaru's partner, Anna's fiancee, heir to the Asakura Family legacy)-The original guy that 4kids got, voiced both main Asakura characters Yoh-the Hero, and Hao-the Villian. Now this guy started off pretty stale as Yoh-but eventually grew into the role-I think he did a good job. (but he did a better job as Hao than he did as Yoh) But I got someone better in mind who I think would fit Yoh perfectly. Greg Ayres!!! Most known for Hiwatari in D.N.Angel, Chrono in Chrono Crusade, Negi in Negima, Cabaji the Acrobat in Funimation's One Piece, Kaoru Hitachiin in Ouran, Son Goku in Saiyuki, and Toyama in The Wallflower. This role would be PERFECT for Greg. He's got the perfect, soft-spoken, carefree, young optimistic hero voice. I've seen him before doing the friendly yet observant characters. I can see him getting PERFECTLY into Yoh's character of the easy-going, lazy-ish, relaxed personality! He's a great actor with great range! I just love this guy!!!

Zinc(anime only character-turns traitor with Nichrom)-I easily see Troy Baker! Known for Gin in Case Closed, Frank Archer in FMA, and Ganryu from the first Bleach movie (and much more...he's famous!) He does villain voice really well, specially with Frank Archer-a guy who does the evulz because he can! Which is pretty much Magna! XD
Next up...won't go big into it, but the Lilly 5, they are kinda just a group of 5 girls....there annoying anime only characters-but become important allies to Yoh's gang....so....
Sharona(The Narcisit with a heartleader of the Estrogen Brigade-as I call them)-Jamie Marchi, best known for Motoko in Fruits Basket, and Haruna in Negima. Sharona is a drama queen...and Jamie can really ham it up!
Millie(The youngest member)-Cherami Leigh, best known for Elicia Hughes (FMA:Brotherhood), Road Kamelot (D.Gray-man), Setsuna and Akari (Negima), Miss Goldenweek (Funimation Dub One Piece), Kirimi Nekozawa (Ouran), and Himawari in xxxHolic. Most known for doing "little girl" characters...and Millie IS a little girl. Plus she's a perky one-something Cherami can do nicely!!! XD
Ellie(The arrogant ditz, always seen with little Millie)-Brittney Karbowski, Anya in Negima and Hinako in Ouran. Yeah she can take the drama queen in this girl too! XD
Sally(the tough red head)-Collen Clickenbeard...best known for Monkey D. Luffy (Funimation Dub One Piece), Riza Hawkeye & Rose Thomas (FMA), and Yuko Ichihara (Tsubasa and xxxHolic) She's a tough girl will kick your butt! PERFECT FOR YOU COLLEN!!! XD
Lilly(the smart-brainy nerd chick)-Gwendolyn Lau best known for Sheska in FMA, book worm girl...PERFECT!
Ok, now for the X-laws, well the 3 most important characters OF the X-laws....
Jeanne (Leader of the X-laws)- Carrie Savage known for Kurokano in Ouran and Kaya in Funimation One Piece dub. She has that young soft voice that would fit Jeanne, but unlike the 4kids chick for Jeanne, she'd FIT HER AGE! The other girl sounded WAY TOO OLD to be Jeanne.
Marco (2nd in command)-J. Michael Tatum Most famous for Kyoya in Ouran! Marco is a serious character...and the guy from 4kids overacted his role WAY TOO MUCH.
Lyserg (friend of Yoh's who left their gang to join the X-laws)-Unlike in the 4kids dub-Lyserg IS FROM ENGLAND! (why give him the american accent and the two chinese kids the british ones?!?!) Aaron Dismuke would fit the "angsty" ness of Lyserg, as well as his seriousness-and deep profound moments. Lyserg is a deep character. And Aaron CAN make a convincing british accent. Plus his voice has matured some so he'd fit nicely! Aaron is most famously known for Hiro in Fruits Basket, Alphonse in FMA, and recently Yasuchika in Ouran!
Hao and his servants....(the more important ones...not doing all of them D:)
Hao Asakura(the big bad himself! :D)-Hao is by far my favorite villain! And my number 1 fave anime dude! :D I am at least thankful 4kids got him an actor who can act-fit his character-sound his age-and actually managed to sound sexy! :D BUT....IF I was forced to give him a different VA, Eric Vale is the one for him! He did a few several villain characters in Yu Yu Hakusho (YYH), Trunks in DBZ, Yuki in Fruits Basket, Sanji in Funimation Dub One Piece, and the Crimson Alchemist in FMA. So he CAN do good evil roles! And his evil laugh IS pretty sexy! ;P He's very talented!
Opacho(the cute little girl, who always follows Hao wherever he goes)-Did I mention, 4kids changed Opacho...TO A BOY?!?! DX...anyways, Funimation would fix that, and the best choice for her I'd say is Brina Palencia! She's famous for Chopper in Funimation One Piece, Nina in FMA, and Shiro in Ouran. She's an adorable little girl, who is the MOST loyal follower of Hao's. And Brina is GREAT doing little kid voices...plus she sounds freaking cute doing it!
Luchist(former X-law, one of Hao's most loyal)-For him....easy! Kent Williams! Best known for...alot! XD like; Supreme Kai in DBZ, Hatori in Fruits Basket, Kuro in Funimation's One Piece, Kyoya's father in Ouran, Chu-the Ogre-AND the narrorator for Yu Yu Hakusho! I love this guy's voice! He's such a great actor! And I can EASILY see him as the serious Luchist!
Kanna (leader of the Hanagumi of Hao's followers)-Meridith McCoy best known for Andriod 18 (DBZ), Maria Ross (FMA) and Atsuko (YYH) She can be sexy, and kick your butt! YEP THAT'S KANNA! XD
Matilda (the orange-haired girl-Wtich themed outfit)-Monica Rial best known for Sakura in Tsubasa, Renge in Ouran, Kuina & Tashigi in Funimation's One Piece, and Lyra/Dante in FMA. This woman is a GREAT actress. I can easily see her being the young witch-themed Shaman of the Hanagumi.
Marion(the gothic lolita styled girl)-Michelle Ruff who is best known for Rukia Kuchiki in Bleach, Euphiemia in Code Geass, Princess Snow in MAR, and Yuki Nagato in Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Michelle is EPIC! I heart her to death! I think her role as Rukia and Yuki prove to me the most she can handle the indifferent "Mari-chan" of the Hanagumi.
The rest of his servants I don't care for....Funimation has good pics so they could find decent people for the rest.
The Asakura Family....
Yohmei Asakura(Yoh's Grandfather)- R. Bruce Elliot known for Feng Wang Reed in Tsubasa, Whitebeard in Funimation's One Piece, and Richard Moore in Case Closed. Yohmei's an old dude, and I love his old dude voice! XD
Kino Asakura(Yoh's Grandmother)- Linda Young best known for Freeza in DBZ, and my favorite-Genkai in Yu Yu Hakusho! Kino is an epic old woman-well so's Genkai! HECK YES IT FITS!!!
Keiko Asakura(Yoh's Mother)- Catlin Glass in a heartbeat! Best known for Winry in FMA, Haruhi in Ouran, and Princess Vivi in Funimation's One Piece. Keiko although she's not on screen alot-you can obviously tell is a sweet and caring mother. Catlin would freaking fit! XD
Mikihisa Asakura(Yoh's Father)-John Burgmeier most definitely! Most known for Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho and Shigure in Fruits Basket. His voice would TOTALLY go with their father, mostly because of his performance as Kurama! This guy has the perfect smart young guy voice...or more acurrately, "smart young mentor" voice. That or Sunny Strait, best known for Maes Hughes in FMA, Lupin in Lupin the III, and Usopp in Funimation Dub One Piece, and Krillin in DBZ. Mostly for his work as Maes Hughes, I think would also fit the "mentor/father" role provided by Mikihisa! I think Sunny would equally fit nicely.
Miscellaneous allies/characters....
Anna Kyoyama (Yoh's Fiancee, and I swear is the most BAMF chick ever!-look up the definition of She-Rambo in the dictionary and it will say "See also Anna Kyoyama" XD)- Now, 4kids gave Anna-an OK actress....for the most part she did alright...but she made Anna sound to bratty. Sure Anna is hardcore bossy and whatnot-but she's the BAMF kind...not the annoying Libby-kind. Plus she made Anna sound too young-for instances she sounded YOUNGER than Jeanne who's like 2-4 years younger than Anna (I don't know, I forget). I think for Anna I'd have to go with Luci Christian! No question! Best known for Nami in Funimation's One Piece, Hunny in Ouran, Asuna in Negima, Medusa in Soul Eater, and Lenalee Lee in D.Gray-man. She can do bossy girl well, I can see her doing serious nicely, she can do "young" character voices, and like Nami does with her crew, Anna SCARES PEOPLE! XD Luci all the way!!!
Tamao Tamamura(taken into the Asakura family under Mikihisa, was a potential bridal candidate for Yoh-"till Anna came along" XD, also has a one-sided crush on Yoh)-Laura Bailey definitely!!! Best known for Lust in FMA, Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket, Keiko Yukimura in Yu Yu Hakusho, Child Chichi in Dragonball, Child Trunks in DBZ, and Konis in Funimation's One Piece. Like with Orihime in my "If Funimation Dubbed Bleach" journal....LAURA BAILEY WOULD FIT THIS ROLE LIKE A GLOVE!!!! She can do the shy, nice girl very well! I can easily see her being the stuttering-blushing Tamao! NICELY!
Jun Tao (older sister of Ren Tao, Shaman Partner of Bai-long)- Unlike in the 4kids dub-which gave her and Ren British accents for reasons I can't even BEGIN to fathom other than that it's 4kids XP....I think I have just the right girl for Jun! Our Zombie-controlling Chinese Shaman! Kelly Sheridan, best known for Sango in InuYasha, Ukyo in Ranma 1/2, Harumi in Hikaru no Go, Shino in .hack//ROOTS, and Sal/Black Rose in Megaman NT Warrior. Her non-anime roles known for Scarlet Witch/Wanda in X-men Evolution, Will Vandom from W.I.T.C.H., several characters from Barbie movies, as well as voices for other little girls shows like My Little Pony-Bratz-PowerPuffGirls-and Sonic Underground. Mostly, her role as Sango, I find her best! The Characters Jun and Sango are about the same age. She has the sweet-soft spoken older sister voice (both characters are older sisters to a brother), but the determined-serious-action girl type of voice, plus many fanboys tell me they find Sango's English dub voice just as Sexy as Sango herself. (and many fanboys find Jun Tao pretty hot too). So-there's a plus there too!-well for the fanboys. XD
Pirika Usui(Horohoro's younger sister, who I find annoying as heck)-Kate Oxley I can see! (if not, Laura Bailey, or Monica Rial would fit good too) Best known for Mimi in D.Grayman, Makie Sasaki in Negima, Rika in Funimation's One Piece, Kimiko in Ouran, Koruri in Tsubasa, and Ame from xxxHolic. She can do cute girl voice well (not that I care, because I HATE PIRIKA) but I see her fitting this role.
Manta(an ordinary human who can see Ghosts-a midget-& best friends with Yoh Asakura)-Say what you will about this guy...but Spike Spencer is perfect for this job!!! He's best known for Ginta Toramizu in MAR, Hanataro in Bleach, Rolo in Code Geass, Goh in Pretear, Marth in Fire Emblem (anime not the game), and Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I know there are Spike Spencer haters out there...but I'm sorry, he's honestly not as bad as they make him out to be. Manta is the PERFECT role for him. He can do those awkward characters really well....plus the freak out ones. (the ones that tend to freak out over the littlest things). Manta is a paranoid, jumpy, awkward, dorky, easily freaked out-character. He screams alot, gets scared alot, and freaks out alot (whether frightened or getting mad yelling at another character). He's a jumpy little dude. Spike would fit little Manta perfectly. Roles like Ginta and Hanataro just prove it to me. And the awkward-timidness of his role as Rolo also still proves this to me.
Amidamaru(Yoh's Spirit Alley/Partner, a Samurai Ghost)-Marc Darison the original 4kids actor for Amidamaru I have to say is really talented. I wouldn't want to change him....not at ALL!!! BUT...if I was forced to change it....I think I'd go for Travis Willingham. Best known for Mori in Ouran, Portgas D. Ace in Funimation's One Piece, Darlton in Code Geass, Zetsu in Naruto, Love in Bleach, and MOST FAMOUSLY (lol) Roy Mustang from FMA. Amidamaru is a serious, loyal, strong, and stead-fast character. He follows Yoh without question, (like a real Samurai did with the Lord's they served under) and has a noble heart. Parts of that remind me of Mori from Ouran, and Ace from One Piece. (the fierce Loyal protectors). Plus his voice is the same pitch tone as the Japanese VA for Amidamaru! :D I can see Travis doing handsomely with this role!
Bai-long(Jun's Spirit Alley/Partner, he is a a animated zombie of a deasesed Kung-Fu/Action Movie Star)-Another great job done by Dan Green, I'd hate to replace him with anyone else, but if I HAD to choose someone to replace him for this role, Kyle Herbert is my first pick! :D Best known for Vato Falman in FMA, Teenage/Adult Gohan in DBZ and DBGT, Peta in MAR, Kiba in Naruto, the King of Alavasta in Funimation's One Piece, and Karasu in Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm mostly of fan of his work in FMA and DBZ. But I do enjoy his role as Kiba and Peta in Naruto and MAR. But his role as Teen/Adult Gohan is my favorite. I think it fits the Kung-Fu Zombie/Partner of Jun perfectly!
Tokegeru(Ryu's Spirit Alley/Partner, an ancient spirit who at first wanted revenge on Amidamaru, he's a human spirit that takes a lizard-like appearence)-Chuck Huber best known for Android 17 and Garlic Jr. in DBZ, Hiei in Yu Yu Hakusho, Shou Tucker in FMA, Mohji the Liontamer in Funimation's One Piece, Hiro in Shin-chan, and Reever in D.Gray-man. Tokegeru started off as a "Harden-Heart" type of character who didn't trust anyone and wanted revenge. But by meeting Yoh, his heart began to soften, and became a Spirit Alley for one of the main characters-Ryu. He's a cocky ghost-who likes to talk big. He's a bit of a hot-head, but a loyal partner. Chuck can do angry-vengeful characters well, just as well as goofy characters. He's also great at cocky, hot headed characters.
Mosuke (A weapon's smith in his life as a human, a ghost, best friends with Amidamaru-helps Yoh fix Amidamaru's "Harusame" sword)-Kirby Morrow I see! Best known for Miroku in InuYasha, Goku in the later episodes of DBZ Ocean Dub, Electman.EXE in Megaman NT Warrior, Hot Shot in Transformers Cybertron, Rad in Transformers Amarda and Transformers Energon, Teru in Death Note, and one of my favorite roles of his-a non-anime role, Scott Summers/Cyclops in X-men Evolution. Kirby I swear just has this all around-"Nice Guy" voice. When I hear his voice I think of a naturally friendly person, who'd you want to be friends with. So naturally, the nice, loyal, and good friend of Amidamaru-shouldn't he be voiced by somebody who's voice NATURALLY sounds like a nice friendly guy?!
Bason(Ren's Spirit Alley/Partner, a ghost of an powerful chinese warrior) -Chris Sabot very famous dude. Most known for Piccolo-Vegeta-Yamcha-and a BUTTLOAD of other voices in DBZ, Kurogane in Tsubasa, Ritsu Kasanoda in Ouran, Ayame Sohma in Fruits Basket, Alex Louis Armstrong in FMA, Daisuke in Lupin III, Kuwabara and Raizen in Yu Yu Hakusho, and Roronoa Zoro in Funimation's One Piece. Like Amidamaru, Bason is VERY loyal. He's a big strong guy. But a softie at heart. Like good ol' Chris Sabot. He'd do perfect for this Warrior Ghost!
Eliza(Faust's deceased wife, and his Spirit Alley/Partner)-Stephanie Young most certainly! Best known for Mana in Negima, Itoko in School Rumble, Oruha in Tsubasa, Clare in Claymore, and best of all Nico Robin in Funimation's One Piece. Eliza is a quiet adult woman. But she is very beautiful and very elegant. Something easily noticed for the few times she DOES talk. Mostly for her perfermance as Robin...I think Stephanie would fit this quiet beauty wonderfully!
And our other core characters! :D First up.....Team Ren!
Chocolove McDaniel(the African American Shaman, from New York, a joker-though his jokes aren't funny)- Phil LaMarr I can easily see being Chocolove. Now Phil isn't an anime voice actor. But he has done roles for Animation of African Americans characters. And unlike the 4kids actor, this guy doesn't have an annoying voice, and can act a heck alot better! Known for John Stewart in Justice League and JLU, Carver in The Weekenders, (my personal favorite) Virgil Hawkins aka Static in Static Shock, Osmosis Jones in the TV show Ozzy & Drix, Wilt in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, DJ and Chef on Total Drama Island, and Jazz in Transformers Animated. I personally feel Phil's role as Virgil/Static is one of his best-and it really fits the Chocolove Character! Chocolove is a jokester, fun-loving teen with an animated personality. As mentioned he LOVES to tell jokes (much to the dismay of the main cast) and wants to be a comedian. (though Ren, Horohoro, and Anna find his jokes very annoying (as does most of the main cast) but those three (mostly Ren and Horohoro) find it irritating the most-and will smack him around for it ^^;...) But he has a troubled past (he was once part of a gang) and wants to make amends from those violent days-by stopping violence in the world-by making everyone laugh and smile-with his shaman powers. He has alot in common with the characters Carter (from Weekenders) and Virgil/Static. (cept those guys have people laughing at their jokes XD) Both characters I love and adore. I think he'd(Phil LaMarr) do, Chocolove, one of my FAVORITE Shaman King characters some big justice! He'd be perfect for the role of the silly fun-loving comic relief with a heart of gold! :D
Horokeu "Horohoro" Usui (One of Yoh's first Shaman friends/allies, he's an Ainu, argues with and teases Ren alot)-For this guy, my favorite little Ice Shaman, I have him tied with 2 people. One is Todd Haberkorn, most famous for his roles as Kohza in Funimation's One Piece, Hikaru Hitachiin in Ouran, Watanuki in Tsubasa and xxxHolic, Death the Kid in Soul Eater, and Allen in D.Gray-man. My personal two favorite roles for this guy is Hikaru (Ouran) and Kohza (One Piece). I think Todd could nail the goofy and fun yet driven and determined character that is Horohoro. Horohoro a smart idiot. (contridicting for ya? XD) He also is easily irritable. (not as easily as Anna or like the hot-headed Ren). I think Todd would fit Horohoro like a glove. Plus he has a voice that sounds about the right age for Horohoro, (and did I mention he can act). The other I imagine for Horohoro perfectly is, the one, the only....Vic Mignogna!!!! Best known for Edward Elric in FMA, Tamaki in Ouran, Dark Mousey in D.N.Angel, Ikkaku in Bleach, Broly in the DBZ Movies, Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Sora in Air Gear, A handful of voices in Funimation's One Piece-as well as singing dubbed versions of 2 openings and 1 ending for it, Fai D. Flowright in Tsubasa, and most recently Zero in Vampire Knight. Now for obvious reasons, Vic will fit! Vic can do fun yet serious, implusive but determined, spirited yet short-fused characters really well. (heck he can do alot! The guy IS a talented voice actor!) So it's tied between those two.
Ren Tao(Heir to the Tao family legacy, enemy/rival-turned friend of Yoh's, leader of Team Ren)-For Ren, I also have a tie. First pic, Justin Cook. Best known for Hatsuharu "Haru" Sohma in Fruits Basket, Raditz-Teen Dende-and Super Buu in DBZ, Russel Tringham in FMA, Bellamy in Funimation's One Piece, and Yusuke Urameshi in Yu Yu Hakusho. More noteably in Hatsuharu-Justin is very easily capable of doing the very serious character to the hot-headed/short-fused character. Which pretty much is Ren Tao XD. My other pick would be Yuri Lowenthal, famous for voicing Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto (ewww...gag me! DX Sasuke sucks!!!), Suzaku Kururugi in Code Geass (another character I have a great distaste for!), Keigo in Bleach, Alviss in MAR (one of my favorite roles of his), Haru Glory in Rave Master, and Simon in Guren Lagann. Despite voicing two characters I dispise, Yuri is a pretty good voice actor, and can do the serious characters really well as well as the short-tempered ones. So again...a tie.
And finally TEAM FUNBARI OSEN!!!! :D
Faust VIII(A German native, a bit crazy-ok ALOT crazy, a former antagonist of Yoh's, and husband of Eliza)-Brandon Potter I think would do the job nicely. Best known for Sven in Black Cat, Kadomatsu in Ouran, Kenji in School Rumble, and Captain "Red-Hair" Shanks in Funimation's One Piece. What can I say, I LOVE his work as Shanks! I can't get enough of it! I love his voice! It's about the right age-range for Faust. I LOVE his laugh! (and loving every minute of imagining that laugh on Faust) And he's a great actor! :D What more is there to say?!
"Wooden Sword" Ryu (a former human-became a shaman after being possessed by Tokegeru, is a FRIECELY loyal friend to Yoh, and a womanizer XD)-Mike McFarland best known for Master Roshi and Yajirobe in DBZ, Ritsu Sohma in Fruits Basket, Jean Havoc in FMA, Captain Buggy "the Clown" in Funimation's One Piece, Ryoji "Ranka" Fujioka in Ouran, and Goemon in Lupin III. Ryu is another "comic relief" character. He's UBER loyal, but also a goofy character. He hits on every girl he sees, heck he hits on ANYTHING (and I mean anything) with a woman's face on it. (He thought Lyserg was a girl when they first met-but to his devestation-was a boy XD). And that seems PERFECT for Mike. I think he'd nail this role very well!
Yoh Asakura(the main character, Amidamaru's partner, Anna's fiancee, heir to the Asakura Family legacy)-The original guy that 4kids got, voiced both main Asakura characters Yoh-the Hero, and Hao-the Villian. Now this guy started off pretty stale as Yoh-but eventually grew into the role-I think he did a good job. (but he did a better job as Hao than he did as Yoh) But I got someone better in mind who I think would fit Yoh perfectly. Greg Ayres!!! Most known for Hiwatari in D.N.Angel, Chrono in Chrono Crusade, Negi in Negima, Cabaji the Acrobat in Funimation's One Piece, Kaoru Hitachiin in Ouran, Son Goku in Saiyuki, and Toyama in The Wallflower. This role would be PERFECT for Greg. He's got the perfect, soft-spoken, carefree, young optimistic hero voice. I've seen him before doing the friendly yet observant characters. I can see him getting PERFECTLY into Yoh's character of the easy-going, lazy-ish, relaxed personality! He's a great actor with great range! I just love this guy!!!
