Well, the roof drainage pipes in my school exploded today during our monsoon. The kids were uncontrollable. The staff was fried. It was terrible. They should have sent the kids home, but instead had a mini-lockdown and made us keep the kids in our classrooms the entire afternoon (no switching for classes). Well, the first "week" of school has finished (technically it was only 3 days). I am thoroughly exhausted. I always forget how much those first few days with the students takes out of you. I went to the waterslides in Westerly yesterday. It was my friend's son's birthday party. At first couldn't have cared less about going on the slides.
