No Solution

So we found out that my husband's car has a cracked engine block, meaning it's dead. What are we going to do? He works 15 miles from here and now neither of us have cars. Right now he's driving my mom's van but in 2 weeks he wont be able to because we'll need the van to get the kids to and from school. How will Jason get to work? He just got moved

or alternately, could your husband carpool with a coworker? or what about public transport? just tryin' to throw out ideas...

Ugh. Is there any way he can take the bus (even if it i means getting up at 5 a.m.)? Also, try going to the benevolence committees of local churches--they have all this money that they need to hand out to the needy--and you are in need!

Hey guys... thanks for your kind words. I wish there was public transport that ran out to where he works but there isn't, he works in the next county over and the busses/metrolink don't go that far west. Even if they did I don't think there would be any that could get him there at 7 am - I used to have to get up 2 hours in advance to take the bus from the city to the county and it wasn't even as far as where he needs to go. That's the problem with carpooling too, I don't think he knows anyone at work who lives where we live. That's also the problem with the kids' school - we don't live in the parish where they go (our parish has no school) so most of the kids who go to the school live right near it but we don't. I have gotten some help from a local church with utility bills, but again, it wont help me save enough in enough time, he really needs another car in like 2 weeks and it's just not possible. I don't know what to do :(
