perhaps the doll is not anatomically correct, thus her thinking you would be unimpressed?

I still listen to the original radio version of LOTR when I need to be really comforted.
I adore the sound of old records and have quite a few of the old Sherlock Holmes mysteries on LP

As for your resolution... that is a very brave thing to try.
