I've come to realize...i despise the SAT. With a passion. It's not a measure of one's intellect, it's a measure of how well they can do on a logical thinking test designed to try to trick you. I'm not a good test taker. I never will be. Yet i'm in honors and AP classes, i've earned college credit already by passing my AP test, I have a GPA of ( Read more... )

I thought the exact same thing when I took the SATs, but if I've learned one thing from going to college and applying and everything it's that the SAT score does NOT determine where you go to school.

It's still very important, but put it this way. One of my best friends got lower than I did on her SATs by 10 points. We both applied to the same schools but she applied to one more that I didn't apply to.

She got into them all and I got into one.

Oh and btw...the one she applied to that I didn't was NYU. She only had an 1170 and they accepted her.

So don't fret about SATs. We had the exact same stats except she took more APs than I did and one school declined me and gave her a $30,000 scholarship. That alone proves it's much more than SATs. So no worries Mary! Don't kill yourself over SATs! I'm not a good test taker either. Just keep up with those APs because they honestly do look very good.
