Amazing how the Universe looks after their own innit? I have a friend who joined OA just prior to the summer. She's lost her weight but was having trouble maintaining it as a lifestyle. I asked her about the program and I have to admit the "God" part didn't sit well. She explained to me, though, "Willow, you are one of the most spiritual people I know. God is not just the christian omnipitous God, it's whatever higher power you believe in." I still didn't go because I do believe the majority would be christian and .. i'm not. The fact that your friend stepped up to the plate is FABULOUS!!!

yes the Christian faith is so out there in OA that I just can't hang with the program but at least it helped me get started :)
