Food Poisoning...BAD!

Mar 09, 2006 18:41

Well, last night oldcrow and I went to Texas de Brazil in Woodfield Mall to take advantage of their March Madness/St. Patrick's Day 25% off deal. My parents came over at about 8:30pm to watch the kids while we went out to eat dinner.

Overall, the dinner was pretty good, but a mere 6 hours later and I started to feel sharp stomach pains and felt very nauseous. I had just eaten a Kit Kat and before that our dessert we brought back from TdB. I coughed a lot and then did the deed...it was a little bit, but then later on a mere hour later it was Pukefest 2006 followed by Diarrheafest 2006. Suffice to say, I hadn't had much sleep...and kept on going to the toilet. I'm still in D-fest land, but I haven't had anything to eat yet cept for 4 bottles of water. oldcrow is having some ill effects too from the TdB dinner, but his are milder...no P-fest. We suspect it is just a bad piece of meat and now my body is expelling every ounce of liquid in me.

Suffice to say it is not a happy place to be and I'll probably not eat at Texas de Brazil for a while. Jason has been sick again since Saturday...a bit congested, coughing, runny nose, and sneezing. Emily has been as well, but Jason somehow was not feeling real good in the tummy area too coincidentially(nothing related to my plight) and ended up upchucking his cold/cough medicine on the bed. Guess we're changing the sheets now. Emily has been okay regardless of her sickness....just a little whiney. I just want cold/flu season to like end cause this constant sickness is getting annoying. But, I guess that is par for the course when yer kid goes to school.

We ended up skipping both Gymboree times AGAIN this week. Jason was able to go to at least 3 out of his 4 day pre-school week. We called him in sick today for obvious reasons. He woke up at 8am after going down to sleep at about 4am(yes, I know...late, but my mom let him nap at 10pm ^^;) He was up for 2 hours before he went back to sleep. Then, I got a nap in at about 12noon....but I still need more sleep.
