The trip to the Beatson Centre was interesting. Met with the radiotherapy doc and he wants to zap the tumour. The problem with this idea is that it isn't for sure it will shrink it, no possible cure. The regular side effects aren't nice and there is the added risk that it will make the fistulas I have in the area worse to much worse. Not really ( Read more... )

After surgery, I remember 3 or 4 months of 3D sunburn at the Beatson. Now I have the long-term side-effects, without knowing whether it did any good anyway. So I think you made a good decision, not to run and hide behind the white coats.

Rob, you are still walking the planet so it must have done some good for you. But the idea of living with side effects forever for me is not something I'm willing to do.

I have no choice but to get by. The choice I have is to live life as best I can and be grateful for it.

Back ro this blog at last!! I thought you might have stopped posting. Seems that everywhere I look these days folk are showing me how to deal with the black spot. Good idea with the wedding dress.

I am trying to learn to just live with my life as best I can. What I can't fix, I just have to deal with.
