3. What are your favourite foods/colours?: Jewel tones, black and white.
4. What country would you most like to visit (other than the stamp options) and why?: Italy, particularly the northern region where my family is from. I want to gorge myself on the amazing historical architecture, authentic cuisine, see the opera, and shop like crazy.
5. What country would you like to live in (other than the stamp options) and why?: Ireland, another country of my ancestors. I visited there about 8 years ago and could see myself living in Dublin.
6. If you were ruler of a country, what would be the first thing you would do?: Make sure that health care is affordable for all citizens. Health is Wealth, not the other way around.
7. What other language besides the one(s) you speak would you most like to learn?: French, I've tried to teach myself, but it's really difficult if you don't have anyone to correct your pronunciation.
8. Would you have supported the United States if you were in Louis XVI's position?: From a historical perspective it's easy judge why Louis shouldn't have, but the United States would probably have not fought off the English as early as they did without France's help- which secured them as allies forever. Louis also was aware of all the material goods the new world could produce and figured the Americans would be willing to share the goods, which the ruling the English would never. So in all, the risks did not out weigh the potential benefits, so yes I would probably choose the same as Louis XVI.
9. What are your thoughts on war?: Just wars can be fought, but in general I oppose almost all forms of war. I don't believe a single just war is being fought today.
10. What are your thought on imperialism?: It's a negative - From today's perspective, it's obvious that imperialism was a failed concept not much different than serfdom. My fear is that our trends towards "globalism" is really just imperialism in disguise as the rich countries remain rich while the poor are exploited for cheap labor and resources.
