A troubling trend has reared its ugly head in my bibliophilic world. I'm fairly sure I've posted at least once about this, but I feel the need to justify the fact that I'm not in lab right now by elaborating.

The scenario: you walk into a friend's house. She has an artsy couch, with tasteful throwpillows. Behind it, a bookshelf, filled with books.

My books are arranged by size. Helps with packing. If that doesn't offend your aesthetics, I don't know what will.

That's even worse than both options discussed! At least arranging books by color appeals to the artist in me. But arranging them by size? Wow. I'm just...wow. I think I'm so offended that it circles around to awe.
