This is a wonderful meme, I actually feel like a better person after doing it - really I do

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
I went on vacation alone (to California, which was also a unique experience)

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Didn't make any this last year, cause I figured after the previous 2 years of not keeping any that it would just be a moral let-down....

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, which is a good thing because I wouldn't have been able to bring a nice gift to the shower :(

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
Domopotomia (that's a country right?) and the LOST Island....

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
let's see: professional success, a lot more photographs of my family, more party time, a good man.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Tie: November 2nd & August 12th.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Driving on the California freeways :)

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not reading as much as I should have, and what's more, not reading to my daughter as much as I should have

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing other than the usual headaches and attacks of the bitchies

11. What was the best thing you bought?
hmmm.....ORC tix....new HRC shirts & pins....

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My daughter - she is the most fantastic, hilarious person I know.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Appalled: all the wonderful politicians
Depressed: None but my own

14. Where did most of your money go?
GAS, dvds, GAS, car trouble, GAS, digital cable, GAS, Christmas gifts, and GAS!!!!!!

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Traveling, possibility of a new (& better) job, and, of course, LOST

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Anything on the White Album by The Beatles and Maroon 5's "Sunday Morning"

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? happier, believe it or not
ii. thinner or fatter? about the same
iii. richer or poorer? I might actually have a little more cash to my name :)

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Writing, taking pictures, helping people (that's the God's truth)

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
yelling

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With la familia, eating all day, then watching movies that night

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
nope, but I've had some good crushes

23. How many one-night stands?
fortunately/unfortunately none

24. What was your favorite TV program?
gee, I wonder :) :) :)

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope, hate all the same people, hehe. I should say, I don't like the same people, I really think I've learned to do without the hate, it only makes me feel bad.

26. What was the best book/fanfic you read?
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - just finished it, loved it, recommend it

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, WWS, Driveshaft, and the re-discovery of my all-time favorites, Les Beatles :)

28. What did you want and get?
I wanted happiness, I got ecstacy

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
ooo....I wasn't able to ROTK till January, but if we're talking about one that was released this year, I'd have to say POA

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I don't remember what I did, but I didn't have to work!!! And I was 22, but felt 32, at least.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If Dom had been on Jay Leno...hehe...I don't know....ummm, I know, if I had been able to get myself completely out of debt (though I've come very close)

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
a little bit of vintage work uniform, along with some avant jeans&t-shirt

34. What kept you sane?
My daughter and the chocolate pop-tarts :)

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Dude, I've drooled over so many this year....it was a good year for that, huh?.....I gotta go with Dom, he's the only one that made me actually squeal with excitement.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Conflict in Iraq/Abortion Rights

37. Who did you miss?
Someone that I haven't seen in a couple years that I would love to see and he'll probably never know it because I'm a poophead and won't call :(...and my grandfather...there were some times this year that I actually thought, "It would be so great if he was here right now."

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I actually met some really cool kids at work, kids who I actually have a lot of admiration for (believe it or not some teenagers actually do know how to work); and a lot of you dearies her on lj - y'all rock.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
No job is worth sacrificing your family and sanity for.

And in other news, EW is a bitch and skipped 2 issues on me - including the LOST cover - if anyone from EW is reading this: What the hell?! But I can't be too mad, it's still my favorite magazine.

Also Christmas stuff will be in the mail at the latest by this coming Monday, so if we've said we're exchanging cards, gifts etc, I may be bugging you for your addy again as I seem to have put them all in random, unfindable places.....
