deep breaths, woman, deep breaths!! I can understand what you mean, but don't freak out just yet! you know that no-one can make perfect stuff all the time, be they actors or musicians! they'll have their stupid moments, don't worry - you've gotta keep faith that what they do next will be good.
(though I've recently read that Christina Aguilera's new album is basically complying with the times, and I was quite disappointed to hear it too... :(

Well, I expected you to rant here. I can understand the disappointment but don't give up on them! Cut them some slack. They continue to challenge new things &, as you see, with NMP they haven't forgotten their original style. I just don't want you to throw them away like this. Did you like them only for their music? Or their characters as well? C'mon! I always though of you as their biggest Greek fan! Please don't forsake them!!!
Oh, well, at least, I, who enjoy kpop, liked it. But yeah it was kpoppish. Right now sounded like U-KISS & Hello like BEAST. :/
Hihihihi! If I don't write fandom stuff here, what will I write? And where should I let off steam? But it's all right. I calmed down. There is a chance I am going to like the songs. I am sure there will be songs I am going to love in the album and I will enjoy everything. I think it was just that they got out together and it was such a shock... Anyway... I can't really stop loving KAT-TUN... even if I want to...

You know how happy I am about this album (and why) and I like the songs on it (Sweet is horrible though, what was Kame thinking?).
It can be difficult if you like KT because of their singing and are unhappy with it. But KT are so much more than their singing (I spend more time on looking at the recent magazine photos than caring for the songs).
I like most of the recent KT music. Liked Going, love Smile (don't like Fall Down) and am in love with NMP (had it on repeat for a few times and that says much knowing my listening habits ;-)).
It's the fist time I like KT group songs since the You album. I can’t even remember the BtR or QoP songs. They all sounded the same to me. Maybe it's because I really can't sort songs into genres because I don't know how to recognize genres. I really can't tell what is rock, pop, RnB (<-- never heard of that)... for me

Yes, you are right. I can feel the good spirit and this is why I might just come to like the songs... A little while ago I couldn't even enjoy NMP, so I don't know... maybe it's just a general psychological state induced from the shock. But you see... I grew up with music, and rather classical one and then I came to adore metal. So Fall Down was just the song for me. I know I can't expect them to sing hard rock all the time. Maybe I need to wait for the album and just listen to the songs as a whole, with all the various sounds. I will buy the album. I can't pass it by just because I got shocked... Anyway... I really hope they will use more guitar in the future. (Do I sound like a guitar addict? I liked the part in Right now where there was some guitar!) I know they like it! XD It's going to be fine!
Somehow, I think that KAT-TUN (and NewS)'s concept are to follow the trend, the two of them got Johnny's cash cows - Kame, Jin and Yamapi - and their concept is not as defined as some sempai group like TOKIO or Kinki Kids or the happy-go-lucky pop/hip-pop of Arashi (well the concept started changing when they did Maou intro) or the crack PVs/band concept that Kanjani8 has got going on. Groups can't help but evolve in order to sell, the only way for KT to go back to their old self [i wish, i'm a fan of shounen club!KT] is to not sell, and let's face it KAT-TUN will sell. I agree that K-pop obsession with autotune is irritating, and it's nice to hear some J-pop totally clear of it.. but well, music is like trends, it evolves, and sometimes badly. The good thing about Johnny's is that they will always play their old hit songs in their yearly concerts.

*sigh* I find it pretty sad they are so ready to change in order to sell, even if their survival depends on that... and I feel stupid for loving their music so much. But, on the bright side, there are still songs that I like. And in Right now they added beatbox and some guitar. I guess this is fine. They want to be KAT-TUN and add the stuff they like in the more "acceptable" style. I think... Now I only wish Jin is back and that I will always love their music... But I am afraid to listen to it... Maybe after the new album...

Groups can't help but evolve in order to sell, the only way for KT to go back to their old self [i wish, i'm a fan of shounen club!KT] is to not sell, and let's face it KAT-TUN will sell.
