We didn't have any power or water today at my house. Everything just recently got cut back on. They had to shut it off this morning so they could do more work on it today and try and get more people's power back on. It's on for tonight though so at least I will get some good sleep. They might cut off our power again tomorrow to do more work on it, ( Read more... )

"One day at a time," I know what you mean. USM is not going to start back until the 12th of this month. So they say. My dad brought up a very good point; besides all the obvious bad going on right now there most be something worse we don't know about.

All those people trapped in New Orleans for so long... why?
The fact that it's been five days and gas and everything else is at about the same point it was the day after Katrina... why?

I know work is being done around the clock to help people so I won't criticise the men and women working so hard but something is afoot. The world will have to get back to normal very quickly in order for school to re-begin on the 12th. Just consider the fact that commuter students will need the gas to go back and forth to school. At college and at MSA. They just cannot ignore such a large part of the school community and continue with classes.

We all have to do the best we can and be patient...

did you hear what Kanye West said about the president last night?

i'm asking myself "why?" about a lot of things. this is america - people should not be going without food and water because we have so much of it. that whole situation in new orleans is pissing me off. they should have been on that from day one. why did it take so long for them to take action? and i actually use to respect bush, but now i do not even like him. he has shown his true colors throughout this disaster. no, i didn't hear what kayne west said. what did he say? i would like to know.

It was on the NBC fundraiser that was live. Kanye was standing there with Mike Myers and said "... because George Bush doesn't care about black people." Mike just looked and then they cut away to Chris Tucker. If you look it up you will probably find more info.
