Everything that's happened in the last two weeks
I broke up with my boyfriend. Long story, ask me on AIM if you want to know the messy-ish details. He hasn't spoken to me since, so I assume he is still mad.
I moved to a huge, newer apartment. From here I can't walk or bike to school anymore. But I do have a ton of space. It. Is. Awesome. ^_^ Plus we have a guest bedroom, so we can... entertain guests. And now that the stove is finally working (turns out it was missing its drip pans under the electric burners), I can cook food again. Hooray! And Will lives on the other side of the parking lot pretty much, so I spent most of the first week we were here bugging him. Poor dear.
I am catching up with an old friend. Someone I hadn't heard from in nearly two years caught me on facebook chat a few weeks ago, and through a series of discussions, we've learned we have a lot more in common than we previously had thought. Go figure. It's nice to have somebody to talk to, even if it is just on AIM.
I went home for a few days. About 20 miles or so outside of Bowling Green, I ran over a parking barrier (you know, like those things they put in parking lots so your car doesn't roll forward) which was inconveniently in the middle of a lane. My tire blew just after I got onto the Ohio Turnpike. >_< So I called Will to come help me change the tire, since I knew he was in BG and would come help me out. Then my car battery died, so I had to have it towed anyway. All in all, not a great day. Did finally make it home though. My grandparents were visiting too, so it was really great to see them.
I hung out with my brother. When I finally got home last Saturday, my parents/grandparents were still on their way home from Kansas, where they had gone to visit my Uncle Greg and his family. So I got to hang out with Tim on Saturday evening. We played Rock Band. ^_^
I hung out with Zara and little Sarah. My best friends from college and high school, respectively. Not at the same time lol. Sarah and I played Rock Band and just hung out, catching up and such. She has a real job teaching music starting in a few days. Z and I went shopping, like we always do and then dinner at Outback. It was a lovely day.
Upon return to Bowling Green, I met some of the new grad students, got my parking pass, learned what my assistantship is this semester (pretty much what I was doing last semester, but for a different supervisor) etc. I'm working a crapton of hours tomorrow (I am contractually only allowed to work ten hours outside of school, so my new boss gave them to me... but all in one day), but I only worked one shift last week, so that's ok. I am not letting them send me home though, I'm so poor after having to buy tires and a battery for my stupid car. AND I don't even think I'm gonna drive it that much this semester, I really only HAVE to drive to school on Tuesdays, the rest of the week I can take the shuttle from CB I think. Should be an interesting year...
