Portland
A quick trip out to Portland was a fun getaway. Michelle and I essentially had 1 day and 5 hours to explore, and I think we did our best. We arrived on Saturday at 5, got checked in (and upgraded!!!) by 6:30, then was out on the road again by 7. We had Apizza Scholls--a recommendation from a few peeps. I wondered
Today, I thought to myself
If I hadn't wasted many hours awake in the middle of the night... where exactly would I be now?
Would I be 3 days ahead? 3 weeks ahead? 3 months ahead?
Time is all relative. But we each only know of a beginning. In a very odd way, many peaceful nights means a sooner death. Ponder -
the wall at 25
Two years ago, I was playing basketball at the RSF with a guy I thought was a sophomore. Turned out he was 33. He told me that he experienced two age walls where he felt his body was not quick to recover: one at 25 and the other at 30. A new high in sports journalism
I've covered college football bowl games. I've been inside the Lakers' locker room. I've sat next to Vin Scully. I was allowed to introduce myself at a nationally televised press conference.

This week
I blew $200 at Gary Danko, for scallops and lobster tail. Worth it. Then, today, I took green jello shots with my coworkers, and downed some whiskey. Tis a good day. -
spring is here/feels like 1:50pm
I had a dream last night involving cherry blossoms. It was both peaceful and chaotic. When I woke up, I went and found this image, which perfectly captured that setting from last night.
