No, copepods are usually more rounded without any lags sticking out from their thorax. They have longer antennas too. These guys look like Isopods but way too small.
I don't complain - they are good - probably feed my corals too
amphipods? your pic does show many thoracic appendages. i can't really tell without a real exam. maybe some were introduced when you've added a new coral, or live rock, or even added say, live food-brine shrimp, then they took hold, and then you find them... many places like my local store, tests for free. others for a very low fee, less than 5 bucks. that requires a sample, of course. just run in and drop it off. if you just must know. if you have fish or other things which eat them, just leave them. if they are troublesome to look at... strain some out and put them in like a 5 gallon tank, or just get rid of them. depends how you feel about things like that. try tafi.org http://www.tafi.org.au/zooplankton/imagekey/malacostraca/peracarida/amphipoda/amphipoda.html
amphipods are usually squeezed from the sides - these guys are flat + I haven't heard about amphepods crawling on the surfaces like this. Thank you for the link. Do you know any other resorces or book for marine inverts species ID?

I know mandarins and scooters like to munch on them. Generally speaking, they're a good thing.
