I got some wonderful news today from my mother.  She was able to get next Friday off so she and Yuki will be coming down for a long weekend.  It'll be good to see Yuki again. This way I can determine for sure if she's really okay or not. She keeps telling me she is, but I don't really believe her. She sounded very excited when I spoke to her about ( Read more... )

That's good, Oishi-kun. Is your sister having a hard time with you not being there with her? I know how you must worry about that. My little sister, Emiko, was alright with the idea, but than, she's only five and I don't think she understood that I wouldn't be coming back...Anyway, I hope you have fun with your mother and sister! Maybe if she sees what a good place you're in, she'll feel more at ease.

Yuki, is well, Yuki. She's very shy and still wants me around so that she can run to me everytime she has a problem. I think that the main problem she has with me being here is that she doesn't really have any friends. She talks to people when she has to, but she doesn't really spend time with anyone. she'd always be sitting at home waiting for me to get back from practice when we were at Seigaku.

I'm sure Emiko will be very angry when she realizes taht you're not going home for some time.

I see. If you don't mind me asking, how old is Yuki? I can't remember...
I'm sure, with encouragement, she can break out of her shell. She just needs to focus on something that makes her happy, besides you, to help her become outgoing and friendly. I know I used to be somewhat like Yuki, until I met you and the others during freshman year at Seigaku.

I'm sure she'll be a little angry, and she will be upset, and very confused. She is very strong though, and I'm sure she'll be just fine.

She's 13. She turns 14 in July. I'm hoping that not having me around will help her with that and it sounds like it has a little, but I won't be sure if she's lying to me or not until I talk to her face to face. She has telling signs of when she's lying to me, but they're all visual.

I'm sure Emiko will be fine. She's at an age where she'll bounce back pretty quickly. You just have to make sure you call her every now and then.

That sounds like a lot of fun, Oishi-senpai. And don't worry about your sister. It'll be okay.

Are you going into Kyoto to see them, or are they coming out here?

That's good to know. I just don't want her to bother you too much.

They'll be coming to pick me up and Yuki wants to see the campus so we'll be around for a few hours. Then we'll go to Kyoto to spend the rest of the weekend.

So... you'll be gone this weekend?

I look forward to meeting your sister. She sounds like a very nice girl.

Yes, I'll be gone for the majority of the weekend unless Yuki decides she wants to meet everyone that transferred here from other schools. That could take some time to do.

She's really looking forward to meeting you so hopefully you'll get along well.
