First, a bit of background. The World Fantasy Convention is a gathering of writers, artists, editors, other pros and fans that I try to get to every year. It moves from city to city, which means that although it has an overall board running things, it's run by a different group each year

now that i've hopped around and done my reading, i'm incensed on behalf of everyone involved having to pay more because the people running a given year's convention don't have their sh*t together. it is RIDICULOUS, in this day and age, to simply not have thought all this stuff through when putting forth your bid, because attendees comfort at your convention is what keeps the damn thing functional.
