Jack is approaching Day 6 in terms of unsustainable canon injuries. True, he he hasn't just stumbled out of Prison like in Day 6, but he has recently recovered from a serious illness, something the writers have COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN about. Oh well, moving on...

Day 8 isn't that inspiring to me either. There is much richer material elsewhere in the canon.

This is great! Exactly what I needed to read today. :) I really liked this line, because it's so them:

He had a face she couldn’t stop looking at.

And I thought this line was very clever:
The hard perimeter she had tried to erect around her mind had become just about as effective as the perimeters attempted by CTU.
