At the Sammath Naur

Nov 12, 2007 11:06

Maggie rolled Mariole over. "Do you remember the taste of strawberries?"

"Back in Lothlórien, that dessert we had our last night there..."

"...in that odd flet that had boats stuck to the ceiling."

"Do you remember, Mariole?"

Mariole began to gurgle and twitch. "Des-sert..."

In moments she was on her feet and ready for the next leg of the journey.

Maggie found the remains of Sauron's Road by observing the clever blue markers with which the Dark Lord had marked his path from Barad-dûr to the Sammath Naur.

Bravely, the party struggled on...

But the climb was just too much. Mariole collapsed again before the summit was reached.

"Lying down on the job, precious?" hissed a voice from above.

Oh, no! Enemies are everywhere!

After a brief but fierce struggle...

...Mariole burst free, and raced for the summit!

Standing atop the tallest peak, she said in a voice clearer and more powerful than any she had used before, "I have come, but I do not choose now to do what I came to do. No longer will I share the Ringbearer with my sisters of the Harem. This hobbit will be enjoyed only by myself. Frodo is mine!"

And she set the struggling hobbit on her finger.

"NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!!!"

Startled by Maggie's anguished cry, Mariole falls off the edge!

Maggie quickly lunges after the sexiest hobbit ever to walk Middle-earth. Determinedly, she extends her hand. "Let... him... go."

Still blinded by her lust, Mariole seems confused.

"Listen," said Maggie firmly. "You have to share. No fair hogging him. Now, let the hobbit go, and take my hand."

The decision is difficult. Mariole can feel the hobbit, so warm and wiggly against her hand.

With sudden resolve, she releases the Ringbearer and lunges for the rescuing hand!

Maggie pulls her onto the rock. Mariole collapses. "He's gone. It's done!"

Bravely, she wrestles her emotions under control. "Now that it's over, I understand. Frodo must be free to dally with whomsoever he may, for the demand on his services is tremendous. But for you, Maggie, the Quest would have been in vain, even at the bitter end. But now the Quest is achieved. Frodo is free."

Maggie said solemnly, "You have released Frodo, and that is good. Yet are you not also a Haremite?"

"I am," said Mariole.

"That means," said Maggie, "you get to take turns. Frodo is not wholly lost to you after all."
