Aww, I'm sad to say I missed much of the joy in this piece because I have not read Austen but it was still a very good read. Loved the dialogue and the slightly exaggerated female pursuit of Spock. Also, hehe, McCoy so did his extensive worrying about Uhura on purpose, to spur Spock on, didn't he. *g*

Sorry just got to my Uhura fest Reading backlog, this was so lovely, I lived the little touches - a trail of ducklings - LOL! And Spock's speech was so earnest and touching. I think I said before, but I'm soooo glad to see you back!
