IT'S A MIRACLE!

Elenya, I love you. Feliway did the trick. They aren't buddies-- but they can co-exist. I'm so relieved I could fall down (and shortly will).

When my daughter was a child she always had cats and living out in the country brings always strays to your door. So I have a lot experience with cats. Sooner or later you will find the two of them, snuggled together and sleeping or licking each other. They just need time to figure out who the boss is - I'm not saying that this will go with a good fight or two.

The only thing that never really worked out, was bringing a not neutered female cat into the house with to neutered male cats.

Btw.: they both look cute ;)

They are adorable boys. Thanks so much for your good advice-- the voice of experience! I've been letting the boys spat. Knightley is mostly his laid-back self, but Tilney tries to play with him or bat him when he's bored (which is often; I can't keep him entertained 100% of the time (or even 50). When he gets too aggressive, I have to put him on time out in his office. But I hope they're getting things sorted so it will be mostly peaceful.

It's a relief to let them out. They _mostly_ get along, but Tilney gets too rambunctious, and then I have to separate them. But we're making progress.

Well, I'm very sleepy and my hands are pretty chewed, but I'm alive! We all are! :)

Feliway doesn't work in all cases, but when it does it can be a godsend! I'm glad the boys are coming around. The picture is great! :)

Thanks! We're not there 100%-- that would be too much to ask-- but Feliway has restored Knightley to his regular personality, so it really is a godsend. I was hoping it would have a calming affect on Tilney; if it does, I can only say, I wonder what he'd be like without it! O_o

Yes, coming around. Small steps. Thanks for the encouragement.

:) :) :) *does a happy dance*

That's great. Tilney will probably need to learn his boundaries, so expect an occasional spat with Knightley clouting Tilney round the head. As long as they don't get into a fight with real biting, then Knightley won't pass on his FIV, and hopefully Tilney will learn not to be so bumptious. :D

This is definitely the phase we're in! Mostly Knightley sits quietly, minding his own business, but Tilney will come up and want to play or sometimes just outright pick on him. Then we get some hissing and batting of paws. If Tilney gets too aggressive or the singsong whiny growls begin, then I put him on time out. I think he gets overstimulated, and then he certainly doesn't remember any boundaries. But he's just a kitten; he'll learn (I certainly hope without any bloodletting).
