It sure feels better than rejection. I recently read a writer say, consolingly to another, that she sometimes had to send out a story "3 or 4 times" before it sold. O_o Try 10, or 15. My target is 22; that's what JK Rowling had to do to sell Harry Potter.

This particular story has a long history of "almost" sales. I'm so glad it's out at last.
