Gourd gone.

For the second time, someone stole the pumpkin right off my porch. They bypassed my neighbors three carved jack-o-lanterns and my pot of mums and stole my uncarved pumpkin.

I don't understand. Once I can write off as a fluke, but twice? Was it an overwhelming craving for pie? Cinderella on the loose? Is there some sort of squash liberation

Gourd Grief!

My personal guess is that people are stealing the uncarved pumpkin to carve as their own jack o'lantern. I would advise you to carve the next one and set it out. That one you will probably get to keep.

That's a good theory. I don't ususally carve them because they last longer unpunctured. Once I kept a pumpkin until Valentine's Day.

Hmm, it was probably a 900 year old wizard. That was the plot of The Vanishing Pumpkin.
