So today I had follow up on my colonoscopy. Good news is I don't have bid, chron's, ulcerative colitis or cancer... Only nonspecific colitis. They think chronic constipation brought it on, which I've had since i was young, so why the issues suddenly at 32? Basically I was told it's probably stress and not enough fiber, so I need to eat more

While it may seem like you're waiting for nothing, you're actually taking the time to train your body that it needs to let go of what it's holding in. One of the things which might help is to bring something to read, or listen to music - anything to help keep your mind off it.
Also, if you happen to have a step stool in the bathroom (I use my daughter's stool), you can put your feet up on it while you're on the toilet - and that helps your body release anything you've got (since once upon a time, we humans used to just squat to have a bowel movement).

It's so frustrating how it can come out of nowhere for us like that, isn't it? I'm sorry.
Maybe you can see what you can do to transform the bathroom into a place less like what you remembered. Bring a book, a handheld game of some kind, or an iPod or radio in there with you (the volume can be low so you can hear what you need to). Dress up the bathroom so it is more comforting, etc.. If nothing else, this can give you more control over the situation and for me, sometimes that's all it takes.
