They were what they said they were, but because it seemed like they had kept their romance a secret, so many never believed them.  The truth was, they weren’t for sure what their feelings were in the beginning.  Others had seen their connection before they had.  They really were so focused on the dances that they didn’t see it.  Many had noticed her smeared lipstick as she came into the backstage area to get their scores.  Mark was showing signs of wiping lipstick off his lips as well.  The truth was, that Len’s comments about the Jive being her best dance so far, had her so excited that on their way backstage, she jumped up and kissed him full on the lips.

After that there were unspoken changes.  There was hand holding, hugging, cuddling, and more kissing.  They still were not talking about it.  When it was cold outside and he noticed she would get chilled, he would pull her close and rub her arms.  He often stood behind her and encircled his arms around her.  He kissed her forehead, cheeks, hair, neck, shoulders and her perfect lips.  He held her hand or was touching her constantly.

After a while, people started to notice her hands on him as well.  Their friendship grew and blossomed into something beautifully exquisite and pure.  Others didn’t understand how they couldn’t see it.  After their practices for their Rhumba, they had their eyes opened wide.

His mom had come in to snoop more than help.  Mark respected his mom’s opinion and wanted her approval of his new love.  She noticed their connection right away and fell in love with his lovable Sabrina.  His mother definitely approved.  She was everything his mom loved.  She worked extremely hard to perfect her craft and wouldn’t give a mediocre performance.  She would rehearse for hours until she had the footwork perfect.  She was polite and friendly and was always aware of her public image.  She was sweet and honest and truly a joy to be around.  She loved her sense of humor and the way she laughed like no one was watching.  What Shirley loved most about her was how she treated her son…how she loved him.

Mark was crazy about her and her about him.  They had so much in common and it was obvious how much they loved each other.  They also knew how to have fun and spent an obscene amount of time laughing.  They comforted one another and calmed each other.

When spending every day together ended, they grew apart.  They still said ‘I love you’ and saw each other when they could.  They called each other and supported each other, they even kissed and cuddled a time or two.  He dated someone else and rumors spread that he was seeing her while they were still dating.  She knew better and tried telling the press they were still very good friends.  He had jokingly said she was too busy for him and some called her an extreme work-a-holic.  He didn’t acknowledge her when he talked about the celebs he taught.  No one heard the remark that wasn’t published.  He had made it clear that she taught him more than he taught her, therefore she wasn’t a student of his.

Together, they have helped each other through their ups and downs the past few years.  Others may not understand, but they were not bitter enemies, but the closest of friends.

She was doing Backstage and in the running for the Design A Dance.  He was trying to end his relationship with Joanna, but didn’t want to hurt her.  He was out and about on the lot during his free time when he saw her.  She still took his breath away and by the smile on her face, he was pretty sure she knew it.  He watched her walking towards him and he held out his arms the closer she got.  He pulled her into a big hug and kissed her lips softly.

“Come into my trailer and let’s catch up.”  He held the door open for her as she walked in and sat down.  “How have you been?  It’s been a few weeks now.”

She looked at him and could just tell her needed to talk.  “I’m fine.  Something is on your mind though, what is it?”  Mark poured out his heart about how Joanna was all wrong for him.  After 30 minutes they had moved past his doomed relationship and were laughing.  When she tried to tickle him, he lunged for her, grabbing her around the waist and pulling her on top of him.  He tickled her back and then flipped them as on and ended up on top of her.  He was straddling her waist and held her hands against the floor by her head.  Before she knew what was happening, he was kissing her.  It wasn’t a friendly kiss, but one filled with passion.  She was shocked, but she couldn’t deny that passion was always between them.  She allowed him to enter her mouth when she felt his tongue on her lips, knowing what he wanted.  He deepened their kiss and released on of her hands, which instantly went into his thick black hair.  She was hungry for him just as much as he was for her.  He ran his free hand through her hair, then down her face to her neck, being so soft with his touch.  He ran his hands down her side, slipping by the side of her left breast and causing her to shudder.  He continued his hand down until his hand was under her hips, urging her to wrap her legs around him.

“Mark, we can’t.”  She didn’t sound confidant and he pushed on.  “Mark…stop.”

“Do you really want me to…honestly,” he whispered.

“No, but we can’t do this.”

“We can.”

“Joanna?”

“It’s over.”

“Oh Mark…,” her voice became deep and throaty while she let the thought sink in.  Mark moved his other hand, and while kissing her hooked his thumbs under her panties and pulled them down, while hiking her dress up.  He unbuttoned his pants and slid out of them, tossing them to the side hastily.

“Mark,” she moaned.  He was thrusting into her, anxious to devour her.  They made love and held each other afterwards.

“Are you okay,” he asked.

“I am.  I know ‘us’ is confusing Mark…but it feels so right.  I love you and I don’t think I could ever stop.”

“I love you too baby.  I’m telling Jo tonight.  Do you think we could try us again?”

“I would love that Marky.  Can you come over tonight?”

“I’ll be there…7-ish?”

“That would be great.   I need to get going.  I’m supposed to interview Derek.”

“Hey wait!”  He pulled her back down to him and captured her lips.  “This is a big day for you.  You find out tonight about Design A Dance, don’t you?”

“Yes…well…I actually already know.  They are just announcing to everyone else tonight.”

“Well?”  He looked anxiously at her.

“I have the best fans ever,” she grinned.  "Between Team Sabrina and Chapman, I had the most votes ever for anyone in the shows history.”  She giggled.

“That’s because you my love, are the best this show has ever seen.  When do we find out if I get to dance with you?”

“The voting begins tonight for you my friend.  I’m fairly certain you are a shoe in.”  She winked at him.

He kissed her again and they both got up and dressed.  He had camera blocking and she had to go to hair and makeup before her interview.  She threw her hair up in a messy ponytail, kissed him goodbye and smiled brightly as she turned and walked straight into Derek.

“Hi Sabrina!”  He was grinning wickedly and gave her a wink.  She smiled sweetly and smacked his butt as she went by.

“Hey Mark!  She just smacked my butt!”

“Enjoy it D…just enjoy it!”  Both Mark and Sabrina laughed as she left.
