I slept for 12 hours last night. If I could spend the next two weeks just sleeping constantly I would love it. But that's the depression talking. I don't want to kill myself, I just want to go to sleep and never wake up.
It's snowing. AGAIN. I can't tell how much we got but it snowed all night so I'll see when I go out to do my laundry. Also, there's a shopping cart outside my bedroom window. That bugs me a bit. I'll have to go push it aside so I don't feel like there's a reason for someone to stand outside my window. Creepy.
The up-upstairs neighbours have moved downstairs to the upstairs (make sense? LOL). I don't know what they do and I've never even SEEN her in the four months I've lived here but I hope they're not those weird older people who are up until 2am. They've been up to about midnight the past couple of nights getting settled in but they've been moving all month so I don't know why they haven't gotten this shit figured out already. All I know about them is that she can't get up and down the stairs well, which is why they're moving to the main floor, possibly because she has a disability/handicap. He used to be a painter but his back won't let him any longer. So for some reason I thought he was unemployed but maybe he's not. I know their names and that's about it. The landlord told me this week that they tend to go to bed around 9pm or something but he doesn't live here so how does he know? And also, the being up until midnight this past week doesn't make me believe that. Ugh.
I just don't deal well with noise I can't control. I don't think they realize just how easily I can hear them moving about since they've lived on the top floor for so long. I hope I don't have to go ask them to be quiet. I have to remind myself that unless they're having a raging party or playing music loudly that I can't be so anal about hearing normal living noise from them. Do I sound like a picky bitch or what?
I got the hankering last night to read some old Sweet Valley High books and tried to find some online (it seems only the first 12 or so are uploaded digitally, in various formats) so I went on ebay and amazon to see how much it would be to order a bunch. Someone on ebay was seeing a lot of SVH and SVU (over 100, I think) for $250 but that's DEFINITELY out of my price range. I'll have to hit up a used bookstore nearby to see what they have.
So next week will be the finale. It feels like this season has been a bit wasted since really, nothing has happened. Some allusion with Phillip and what he might be up to with his secret projects and the way he's been influencing the way the ARC is run. Matt has this guy who we now know is his Dad going on about the anomalies and the bad things that are coming and instructing him to be on alert for who's going to do this mysterious bad thing with them. And there's Ethan, who has a serious hate on for SOMETHING, and Emily who will probably die (I'm thinking).
That's not a lot of stuff to have squeezed into six episodes so far. The anomaly case of the week storylines feel like they're already over halfway through the episodes and I keep waiting for them to wrap up and end. Tney're not very exciting and I just find there's a lot of tattered plot lines dragging around.
Does anyone know if they've been filming the two series concurrently or if they took a break between five and six? I thought I heard at one point they were filming all thirteen eps at once but I might very well be on crack. If they did film them all together I hope the last six episodes are going to be full of action because this season has been woefully lacking. If they were airing all the episodes together as ONE season I'd be more forgiving because it would be like they were laying groundwork for the rest. But considering we're probably going to have to wait a year for the last six episodes to air (or until December) it doesn't leave us much to go on and be excited for, you know? Because Matt's drama doesn't intrigue me as much since I don't know what the fuck is happening. I also pretty much just dislike Phillip and since nothing has happened other than random mysery I don't care about him.
I was happy to see Jenny again, I wish they were bringing her back. I'd like to almost see more old-school versus new-school between the actual team, rather than just Phillip and Lester being at civilised (for now) odds. I might feel there was more comraderie between the characters if it were like that, as well. Right now all the character development and feeling like a TEAM seems to be at the bottom of the list on show priorities.

I really noticed her eyelashes in this ep.
Wow, 90's hair. Awesome.
Her eyes were very vibrant in this ep with that dress on.
I'd be okay with Emily sticking around and joining the team. although I don't think she will.
