I am a temp. It's a crazy wild ride, not getting health benefits, 401K, sick days, vacation, lunch break. When people ask me, "what do you do?" I blanche, because I know that if I tell them about my temp-hood they will be shamed by their own measly salaried positions. It is truly a beautiful thing. So I am all done with college applications. I spent the weekend finishing five final grad apps.... and I am relieved. I only have to apply to a few more M.A. programs later in the coming year and that's it. Let the wait begin. I am applying to around eleven graduate programs, both Ph.D. and M.A., and I hope to god that come April I don't get ( Read more... )

Its snowing. Like crazy. I want to enjoy it, to just look down from the tenth floor office window and get that warm xmas-y feeling, but I can't. Because I take the bus. And I live a good fifteen minute walk from the bus, when its not snowing. Which it is now. Bah.

I got my drivers license!!!!

I passed the test on Saturday.

I also have bronchitis, but that's another story.
