Hugo Short Story Nominations

If you anticipate voting for the Hugos this year and if you were disappointed by last years choices for short story and you'd be interested in discussing ideas to improve the situation, please comment on this post. If I get enough interest, I plan on adding a new filter so as to not bother the rest of the people reading my LJ.

I don't subscribe to any of the science fiction magazines, which is where the short story nominations usually come from. I think those publications are dying, which may explain why there weren't any great short stories last year. I think to save 'em, we'd have to get 10,000 people to subscribe to the magazines, which I think is beyond my capabilities. You're a very social soul, though; perhaps you can manage it. :-)
