A Poem

My blogging goal is to put positive stuff out into the world, so at first I hesitated about posting this poem I wrote.
And then I thought....if it makes someone think twice about the children who suffer each day...and then that person makes an effort to be a force of change for a child...well, what is more positive than that?

Very positive this girl was noticed. And thinking twice is always positive.

I got a reminder of that recently speaking at a middle school, and being kind of annoyed by some wiggling boys who wouldn't get on task. And when i saw the writing, I was pretty sure I could match some hard-wrought sentences to those boys. Who I understood were wiggling because for them writing is so so hard.
