I ended up at the Westfield Centre for the first time, this evening. The actual point of going there was to go to Argos to finally buy the mahoosive pan that my current penchant for Orientalist hotpot making seems to require, but I twigged right from using the snazzy touchscreen store guide, that Argos wasn't in there, and further enquiries ( Read more... )

Yeah, umpteen of them but none I was convinced I would make it back to from Acton before they closed - and I *really* needed that pan (ain't no way o' boilin' chicken without a stock pot). :)

Westfield is quite snazzy but ultimately full of dull high st tat and a wanky designer village that the local kids try and shoplift from.
S Bush was always a shit hole and Westfield (and it's placing away from the main shopping area) have guaranteed that it won't improve for a very long time...

Yeah, I was quite shocked - I assumed there had been some sort of general renovation of the whole area, but apart from Westfield and the bit right outside the station, it's still a vile wasteland!

Heh, I'm sure I saw him in Morrisons after I'd left Argos. :)

The only good thing about Shepherd's Bush is that it makes me realise how much better Hackney is.
