There is Only God

When the aspirant inflates his or her own personal importance and forgets, God will take away to bring that one closer to Him.

This comes as a reminder that there is only God, the He/It is not only the Source, but the journey and certainly the only Destination as well.

God is Love. God is Truth. There is only God.

I know why you have this view and agree that there is a High God or All Father, though in virtually every Tradition there is a Feminine Manifestation of this Deity, even in Judaism there is the Shinaka, in Christianson there is the Holy Ghost. The Indo-European Traditions have Gods and Goddesses, who embody masculine and feminine Virtue (the Buddhist and Hindu Traditions have 24 Virtues), these Virtues of course define what is Good or Sattvic which of course opposes Tammas or Evil. Of course their is a sense of singularity, that of Self or Atman, which reminds us the Vedantic Teachings that "God is Self". There truly is an all pervasive Spirit in the Universe which mirrors the Self in all of it's facets, and He is indeed the embodiment of Love and Truth, as Inspiration comes from Love, poetry weilding it masterfully, and Truth is His Divine Spear that strikes down Falsehood and Hatred.
