I did, the one you see poking out of the box. It was called "Poetic Bird Seed," a nine-stanza free-verse meditation on poetry and words (as birdseed) and the act of discovering that seed in places like this. It probably can't be sung to "The Yellow Rose of Texas," but it was a pleasant read-aloud. It came signed "David Kannas, January 2011".

There's a "free poetry" box on Greenwood near 79th too. Sometimes the poetry is pretty darn good. Occasionally I leave some...
