Overall Thoughts:
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted? wayyyyyyy more, like maybe 100k more than i thought i would write at the start of 2015. i think this year was really liberating in terms of me writing whatever the heck i wanted to without really think about why or being bogged down with all the fandom stress.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January? never in a million years did i expect to fall for ESPORTS RPF OF ALL THINGS IN THE WORLD. like what????? but it's just so fulfilling and funny all the time, i talked to a fandom friend about how i think league rpf has made me laugh and smile more than i had all year and it really brought back why i loved fandom?? not to say that kpop is bad, but at times it's saddled with a lot more fandom baggage than it really needs to be and people are too busy fighting over dumb things than actually enjoy the group they stan. that goes for ficdom as well, there's been a couple of plagiarism incidents this year (none of which that directly involve me) that really made me really wary as well. having a new fandom that's very small is incredibly refreshing and part of it feels like entrepeneurship, like building your own start up from the ground up which makes everything incredibly rewarding. idk i'm just having so much fun all the time and it's really made the end of my 2015 year really great <3
What's your own favorite story of the year? it's really hard to pin point one story that i really loved, but essentially i write two kinds of fics: 1) the ones that take me a really long time to write/plot/concentrate on (the neverland problem, the universal language of a heart that beats, etc) 2) the ones that are finished in one sitting way late into the morning past 4 or 5 am (08. far away you were born in a sea, fire work, surface tension), and i've learned that type 2 fics tend to be my favorite after i've finished them. I ALSO REALIZED THAT I LOVE 5 TIMES FIC so much that i wrote 4, 5 times fics this past year. (i was just one short of making a compilation of 5 times i wrote 5 times fic)
Did you take any writing risks this year? among strong candidates this year such as: furniture fic, underaged gangbang, and cannibalism, i'd have to give it to my southern fauxcest fic: the neverland problem, because i've actually done two of the three first listed back in 2014 as well, ha ha ha. i think for me it was a writing risk because i took it very seriously and it's really quite a personal story to me in terms of the setting and a lot of the details that are written about in the fic. of course no one i know has become immortal and i definitely haven't had any fauxest relationships in my life, but over time i realized (and this is going to sound like such bullshit, but) that jungkook and jin are really just representations of everyone. we all have that version of ourselves stuck in neverland that can't go with our older selves no matter how hard we try and inevitably those two people will just drift farther and farther. it sounds depressing, but those rare moments where we get to be children again, where we reconcile with our younger selves and our dreams, are when the sparks of magic happen.

ALSO MORE JINKOOK!!!! there's basically no league rpf fic (a grand total of 17 fics in the ao3 tag), but there's so many interesting storylines, characters, and possibilites to explore, so i'm really excited to expand and delve deeper into all of that. Jan 14th, my body is so ready!!!
From my past year of writing, what was...
My best story of this year: By virtue of the fic that i worked on for the longest, ever, i think the neverland problem really highlights some of my writing strengths and weaknesses. it's only been a few days since i finished it, but i've gotten quite a few comments from people telling me that they don't read jinkook, or they haven't read fic in a while, but it made them cry??? idk, it's a really unspeakable feeling when you make your readers feel so much emotion and it's a really rewarding experience to get all that feedback T___________T
My most popular story of this year: game changer, you are all going to hell, you're welcome.
runner up: burst, bloom, bleed- which is still a wip and all hype
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: by nature of being a small fandom, anything i've written for league rpf. outside of that i really loved my fic for ficmix, headspace for three. remixing the original was a lot of fun and there's a lot hidden in there that probably only the original author and i understand which i'm more than fine with.
Most fun story to write: LOVE TODAY, LOVE LOVE ME was hilarious probably only to me because it was such self-indulgent crack where I wrote without censoring myself. my first fics were actually crack fics on a long forgotten sock and this felt like revisiting an old style? idk it was just really fun to write and got7 are such a funny, obnoxious group that lend themselves to so many in-jokes that i couldn't resist taking jabs at <3
Story with the single sexiest moment: stitch me a pretty scar is filled with underlying sexual tension and the one moment where seokjin is changing jungkook's bandages but accidently brushes against his chest made me squirm while writing it. so yeah, there's that
Most "holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: [intentionally left blank]
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: i've talked about this before with r and e, but writing for bts has grown my writing a lot this year. for each character when i write from a certain pov i really try to portray what they would notice in a scene and for jungkook in particular he's always highlighted his sense of smell. soon i found myself sitting down in front of my word doc and actually thinking: "what would i smell in this scene, what would catch my attention", and it was really interesting to have a character retroactively affect my writing like that! like even if i didn't directly write down what he was 'smelling' at a certain point in time, i would keep that detail in mind throughout each scene. as as a result i began to pay a lot more attention to what's implied in a scene rather than just out right stated which imo has improved my storytelling ability a lot. so i guess there's not 1 single story that shifted my own perception, but rather all my bts fics?
Hardest story to write: by the third chapter, the neverland problem felt like pulling teeth and i knew i had to get it finished before 2015 ended or else it would never be finished. since i had been working on the fic since march of 2015 (march to december), in my mind i had already completed the fic so many times with various endings that it seemed almost impossible to rewind it all and find one true ending to take. thank you everyone who held my hand through it all T___________T

Biggest disappointment: i left jjp mr and mrs smith au to drown, i'm sorry
Biggest surprise: that bighit ships sugakookie more than i do. jk, but actually.

runner up: surface tension, between writing that and we never go (out of style), i've come to realize that undefined relationships are my pick of poison. there's nothing worse or better than the slow burn of miscommunication and never knowing what could have been. angst for dayssss

2. Three- Sehyung’s arms wrapping around him in a tight hold as he lifted Inkyu up, and Inkyu sagging into his hold, completely weightless on top of the world. [x]
3. “Are you fucking kidding me?” Jimin whines, helpless laughter squeezed out of him as the beanbag crumples down to fit into all the spaces around him like a cozy, resigned hug. [x]
4. Instead he watches Jungkook suck in a small breath and then quietly, blow out the flame to leave them at the mercy of the darkness. [x]

1. Yoongi buries his other hand into the bone dry, stiff locks of Jungkook’s hair and squeezes his eyes shut so he doesn’t have to imagine himself doing terrible, terrible things. Jungkook’s hand comes up to cup his face and Yoongi presses a kiss against his wrist.

2. He wonders if the Jungkook of this world partakes in the kissing and if there is one person in particular Jungkook looks forward to kissing the most. [x]
3. (His arm shakes a little when he brings the phone up, level to Inkyu’s sleeping form. His mind is still slow, too slow to process why he feels the need to capture this moment and burn it into his mind forever. The flash goes off against the dimness of the room and the light catches Inkyu's bare back. Sehyung doesn't dare touch him, not like this.
