Yes, it is, although it may not be your cup of tea just yet. From what I've read so far (and I'm moving very slowly on it), it's a rumination on the inner language of a marriage seen through the eyes of a widow, and he also has a contrasting view going on dealing with her relationship with her sisters. The horror and fantastic elements have been pretty well muted so far. The directions he's gone in since he completed what he initially set out to do (The Dark Tower) have been interesting; I would definitely read Colorado Kid if you haven't already... it's his attempt at a Mickey Spillane-style mystery novel.
