Give My Regards to Broadway

This entry is dedicated to Akaru - if you can go away for 6 months and come back, I can write an entry at least once a year. And to jump2Narnia - thanks for brushing the cobwebs off and reading my last entry - from almost exactly one year ago. And to kamichan, who just writes and writes and writes. Thank you ( Read more... )

Yay! I get an honorable mention! ^.^

Oh wow...you're so lucky that you got to see Billy Elliot! D: Such an amazing story. I've never seen a real live Broadway musical. xD The closest I came was seeing a performance of the musical Cats when it was on tour. I think I was 8 years old then...and I had crappy nosebleed seats. lol xD

Holy crap!!! That Kiril fellow is GORGEOUS! *__*

On the sidewalk, I recognized a bunch of the "13" cast members walking along, on their way home from another day at work, totally part of the New York passers-by. No paparazzi yet for these kids.Wow, that's amazing that they can get away with that. xDD Just blending right in. lol ( ... )

It's weird. You'd think that professional photographers would take the best possible pictures and it would be impossible for anyone to look as good in person. But I thought just about every actor I saw was much more impressive in person. The one who I predicted would be a favorite from his photos was Eamon Foley, and he was. He didn't have a lot of lines, but he was very enthusiastic and full of energy throughout the whole show.

It's a real struggle though. =(

Anyway, I'm really happy for you that you went to see both Billy Elliot and 13, and I truly appreciate that you took the time to tell us about it. Sounds like you had a great time.

The three Broadway Billy Elliots all look nice, but for some reason I'm not a big fan of Trent or David. I'm sure they're very nice and very talented kids, but if I had to pick one of the three to perform for me it'd be Kiril. I don't know. Something about his face is very intriguing.

It's sad to hear that 13 didn't turn out to be all that successful. I have the soundtrack and I rather like it, although I have to agree with you that the plot certainly isn't as memorable as Billy Elliot.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you had a great time on Broadway, and it makes me look forward to my trip to London next month even more, if that's at all possible.

Gonna go and watch 24 now. XD

I hope you have a great trip. When I saw BE in London it was opening night for Leon Cooke as Billy, so that was exciting! He went on to play Billy for almost the next 2 years.
