The New Yuma

It was so good to see Nakayama Yuma on this month's Shonen Clubs from Osaka. There he was in his old job, leading Hey!Say!7 WEST, all over the place in front of the camera. Good for him! He looks great, with a new hairstyle - in fact, he looks so different I almost didn't recognize him ( Read more... )

Tsubasa, I get it. Except he actually looks more like the old Yuma to me, with his hair parted in a different direction. Hopefully Yuma will never try to grow a porn-star mustache like that.

Ueto, well, Yuma could be mistaken for a girl, but that's pretty much a condition for getting into Johnny's. :)

Tomoya, I get the freaky-eye comparison. But, I was googleimaging and came across a picture of Taiyo and, uh, what were we talking about?

Where the heck have you been? I was thinking about you the other day, that you were one of those folks who had totally disappeared and all of a sudden you are back. That's nice. Yuma=Eric Ripert? I had to look up Eric to see what I thought, and he is certainly one handsome-shmandsome dude, but I don't see one little speck of Yuma in that face. Sorry!

But when you get a chance read my new blog post, it's much more exciting. :)

Oh well, Yuma. Some people seem to be put off by his looks, which is something I never understaood. I mean, he's not pretty in a conventional sense, but he sure isn't ugly. Personally I find his looks very intriguing, and I love his voice. I'd love to see and here him more often.

Aside from the makeover, I think Yuma had more energy and personality than I'd ever seen before. He looked like he really wanted to be front-and-center and he belonged there. I wasn't a huge fan before, but I'm really happy to see him back and doing well. And yes, he has a great voice.

Don't worry about "barging in!" I'm happy to have people reading this after I haven't written anything here in about a year. This is definitely not friends-limited. I know I heard about Yuma in Summary but I kinda forgot when he was off TV for a while. I wish he had some time in Shokura because that's my main source for watching anybody. He was all over the Jr. calendar this year along with Shintaro, but on TV we've seen a lot of Shintaro and relatively little Yuma. I think Johnny has been one of Yuma's biggest fans, so I'm glad to see him again.

One thing about vampires is, they keep coming back for more. ;-)
