Pills again

So. I've lost weight since Christmas. Actually, I'm so skinny now that my grandpa is worried about me. He gave me vitamins to take to make sure I'm getting enough nutrition. The thing is, it's one of those gross-tasting swallow pills again. And I thought about how Scott said that if you take those, they might not get completely digested, so I'

Actually there are two big negatives about hard compressed tablet style pills. The first is the digestion issue you mentioned. The second is that during the compressing process the pill is heated and this destroys some of the vitamins/minerals. But still, better than nothing I'd think. If anything, it should keep your grandpa happy.

It will keep me happy as well, under the illusion of having vitamins. I can't understand how the vitamins/minerals would be destroyed. If you have a web page I could visit and read more about it, I'd be grateful (sp?). I guess there could be a chemical reaction caused by the heat.

It has to do with the heat and high pressure the pill it put under to compress it. This information actually came out of a book, not the web. How old fashioned huh?
