Tell me about it. It sure beats "Want to apply for HDB flat?" hands down anyday.

All the romantics now go, "sigh...".

Hehe. Well, "Want to apply for an HDB flat?" is very pragmatic and also very Singaporean. I've seen one guy "writing" his proposal in the sky (one of those cloud plane or whatever you call them) and another publicly asking his girlfriend to marry him (on tv) at the opening of a filmfest.

At this stage, I'd be pretty happy for more traditional candlelit dinner and the down on the knees, "Will you marry me?" approach.

Well, I guess when living in a fast paced society, romanticism is replaced by a hybrid of that and pragmatism. It then boils down to a very basic level of what dating and marriage is all about I guess.
