Does anyone think it's possible to be addicted to music? I tried not listening to any yesterday so I could concentrate better for my exam stuff and within a few minutes I didn't feel so good. It's occured to me that I spend most of the time in Uni or at home listening to something or another.

What do I do about this?

I realised I was addicted to music when I came to Prague, not so much listening to it as making it. After five days, five very short and very busy days, I was going off my nut with longing for my keyboard. Honestly, I felt like I was going bezerk, couldn't concentrate on things, getting really tetchy, feeling slightly lost at all times... so I got the piccolo, and suddenly my brain was back on its bearings again. And during all those ups and downs of Ukranian madness and bouts of homesickness, talking to my instrument could comfort me more than any of the brief friendships I've made here.

Music is a beautiful thing my dear; indulge yourself, and always be grateful that at least you have some hearing.

I get really upset when I don't have my bass down in gala with me...and I feel like I work better with music around me. I reckon it's partly cos it can be very inspirational, perhaps even just subconciously.
