By this time tomorrow, I expect I will have finished my 1.5km march in Rattus for the Million Paws Walk. Though I've done a walk of that length in fursuit before for Mardi Gras, it's not an easy trek and much will depend on Brisbane's weather (hope for a nice cool day!). 1.5 km??   That's not even 1 mile!   The fursuit parade at Anthrocon was tougher than that!

Does the Anthrocon fursuit parade go outside in the Brisbane sun? No? Even heading towards winter, Brisbane has pretty bad humidity and it was fairly warm in the sun. Brisbane doesn't get anything like what you consider "winter". In fact, some of the summer days in the UK were what I consider "winter" here, and in Melbourne in the summer you have days fluctuating wildly between heathave (40+°C) and as cold as a cold Brisbane day in the winter. One fursuiter had sweated right through his suit and his back fur was matted with sweat.
